YUCK! Head Lice

Yep it has infected my two girls! Samantha brought it home a few weeks ago I am sure as she has been itching for that long. I had looked did not see anything and now today I found a few on Mini and today school called to say they found some on Samantha. So we got the shampoo and we washed heads and we combed heads and I am washing every pillow blanket sheets and sprayed down the mattresses.

To say that this has been a busy day is an understatment. But hay let's be positive here look at home much of my Spring cleaning I am getting done in just one day!

Dad is home!

Yep my Dad is home safe and sound though today was a rough day to drive I am sure as we are getting a lot of snow. He said he had to drive 30MPH in 4 wheel drive through Neb but he is home! I am a happy happy daughter right now. Welcome home Dad!! I will see you Wednesday!

Mini and Grandma

Mini and grandma got some cuddle time in yesterday. You know she was named after her and in many ways Mini reminds me of my Mom. She is so full of love and gives it freely. Heaven help you if you make her mad. And so strong willed that no one can change her mind if she sets it to something.
Like Mini and this potty training to say it has gone backwards is an understatment. Her dora bike and her baby pig webkinz and her bab love love are all up and out of reach. As I do not know what else to do to get her attention that this is beyond not funny. She had been doing great now she is set back. Today has been better though as she had to sleep in her own bed and she had to lose toys. Not a happy girl but I am sure she iwll remember to go pee again rather fast. So far it is working. Wish us luck!

playing with Grandma

Sunday we went to visit grandma at the farm. The kids played playdo with her a good time was had by all! We had lunch of baked chicken and we had potatoes and green beans with mushroom soup and we had cheesecake for Dennis' birthday later. Kristie was out there with us to. We had a good day hanging out with grandma!

I think she is mad

I think we made her mad. Notice the toosie roll container. It is empty. She used to to protect herself I think form teh fly tootsie roll wrappers that were flying. The boys kept putting things in our hair all night. Yea nice guys I tell you!

Who we marry

Do you ever wonder who we marry and what that says about us? I think it says I am nuts! Tia must be right up there with me! Such good guys I tell you and yet they drive us girls batty! Here they are in the back seat!

the ride home

Oh the ride home with Kent and Dennis in the car is always an adventure. these two men when together get strange. That is the best word I can use to discribe them. The driver is Tia and she makes sure we get to and from without dying. That is her one job. If she can annoy the boys well then that is just a plus. Though truly one of these times the boys are going to have to be seperated as they get into way too much trouble in the back seat together.

Tia turned the heat up high. It was hot in there I must admit. The boys rolled down the windows. Tia rolled them up and locked them. So what do the boys do? On the exit ramp in Roger's open their doors. Now you maybe thinking OMG they are drunk. No that is just how these boys are. When together they come up with stuff. It makes me fear for my boys when they get older!

So they rode with the doors crack for a bit. Notice the stern look on Tia's face. But once more Tia got us home safe and sound. And she told the boys theyw ould be seperated next time if they could not behave! Comical as all get out if you ask me having a lecture with 30+ year old men!

Oh and if you are wondering why the picture of the GPS I wanted you to know we had one in case the cops had decided to pull us over and to throw us all in jail Tia and I would have found our way home.

Texas Roadhouse

Here are the shots from the Texas Roadhouse last night. The first is of the waitresses dancing. However you will not see our server John among them as he hid (Imean he was busy) during that time. The next is of Dennis eating his birthday dinner of applesauce. Or being a dork not sure which! and the last is of John S our server. I told him I was posting his picture so I can even post his name. We loved him and he is our favorite! Ok he is the only server we have had there but he is good at what he does and makes the experience so worth the wait to get in. If any of you plan to go use their call ahead seating as then you call ask how long the wait is they say 90 minutes and you put in your table of however many and you show up at the time the wait was done and they give you a number. You eat peanuts on the house while you wait the few minutes till your number is called and you are then seated.

They bring your beer to you and are happy people. Or they are dang good at pretending to be. And when we pick on our server for bringing out Tia's pop first he even had the bartender bring us our beer! Thanks for a great dinner Texas Roadhouse! You have made mine and Dennis birthday dinners something to remember!

The rest of the photos from the ride home will have to wait till tomorrow as bed is calling to me. As Mini has been banished form my room. A Bike is put up. Mini has had not 1 not 2 not 3 but 4 showers today and I am tired. So more to come tomorrow. Good night

Mini strikes again

Ok so I told you earlier how we went out last night. Well as we were getting ready to leave Mini showed Tia and Kent and Emily how she could ride her bike. And considering I told her if she had as many accidents last night as she had all day I was taking the bike away I figured we best let her show off her skills in bike riding right then. (no one said I had any brains left in my head after having these kids) So needless to say she took the corner to sharp tipped the bike over and hit the banister with her head. Well her eye and cheek to be more exact!

Today the bruise is not pretty this was taken a mere 60 seconds after she hit it. But she did not really cry either just for a second till I took her from Dennis held her and gave her the magic blanket and her thumb. Ok so it was the blanket and the thumb not me I am sure but I know I helped as Mommies do that. And then we went out and only called 3 times to check on the kids. Ok Mini and learned she was fine and did not seem to be bothered by her eye. Unbothered enough to poop in her undies. Poor babysitter. There is just not enough money in the world for that!

I have 4 children

There as you see i do have 4 children that still live with me. I know they do not all get as many photos of them as they used to but that is because they hide from me I think. I am sure there are days that they would choose the lady on the corner over me. Without knowing her name.

But they are mine and they are stuck with me as their Mother. Notice Samantha has her new glasses on. They are (guess) yep you are right pink on top and then blue ont he bottom if you take them off and look at them upside down. (Who would do this I have no clue) But we bought them at Costco and she likes them and that is all I care about really. She wears them she can see with them on and I do not have to worry about them getting broke. (why you may ask?) well because I took her old pair in and had them make her a second pair. They should be here next week sometime. As I do not think that they will never be broken again. Mini lives in the house and she broke one pair by throwing a book at Samantha's head I do not dare dream she will stop being like that anytime soon.

As for Matthew notice the lovely schratch he has. From what you may ask? No clue he just came in with it. That boy is all into sports. He and Samantha and Stephen start soccer here at the beginning of May. Thank goodness as he can run off some energy! School gets out for him at the end of April and he starts soccer then next week. But here is the kicker he wants to have started last week. So we will be sending him outside any chance I get to run run run!

You will notice Mini got to have 2 pictures taken of her. Yep because she had to show you she had fingers and I tried pretend taking the photo but then she wanted proof of the picture as she knows the camera has review and she wants to see all photos of herself! So I thought I best show you her fingers or she may have learned to read in the last few days and she will get after me on that too yet!

Many of you have asked how Stephen has been doing! I want to say great! I have noticed a huge change in him. He sleeps all night without getting up but maybe once to pee at night. he sleeps in past 6am! His voice is clear!

Sat night date night

We are here at the farm visiting with Mom and hanging out. The coffee is hot and the food is good as always. Mom is coughing up a storm and trying to feed us way to much food once again.
Last night we went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. OMG what good food and the service as always was awsome! Our waiter was John S we had him last time we were there to. I have pictures I will download when we get home.

After dinner we went shopping at Kohl's and then Victoria Secrets. Then off to Dave and Busters to play and then to Tia and Kents house for hot tubbing! A late night and a fun night.

Today Dennis turned 33 years old and I will write something on that later to. Just wanted to post to say date night was the best and we need to do this more often!

sleeping kids

oh so tired after a day outside running around. They fell alseep wherever they were. And as they are all asleep now besides a crying Mini I am off to get her to bed now. And since she just announced she peed in her pants I guess that I am planning on cleaning the floor too before bed tonight.

working on our bedroom

The first picture is poor Mini trying hard to help me and Tia paint today. But as we would not let her help she hung out on my bed part of the day. As she was tired and it was nap time I was hoping she would fall asleep but no such luck till late this afternoon and she did not wakeup today till 7pm. So guess who is still up with me tonight while I blog away! Yep you guessed it a little girl named Mini!

The green is much darker now as I am done with that wall and it is drying dark with2 coats on it. The cream you see is done tonight to. If you look above the cream it is the original color of the room yet as I have not finished the red tonight and that is where it will go. As I can not tape off the cream till tomorrow. So tomorrow I will be working on the room again.

So tomorrow will be busy as we have bowling in the morning and then I will paint in the afternoon and I have to be ready for a date to celebrate Dennis' birthday by 4pm. But oh what a date we have planned. I will have to let you know how it goes on Sunday! We are going to the Texas Roadhouse again as we fell in love with the food there. The rest you will have to wait till we do it for me to tell you about it.

I am planning a trip to Watkins on Sunday for visit Mom and Shorty. As I have the mock ups for shirts for Shorty that he asked me to do. And I want to hang out with Mom too and see how she is feeling about the week ahead. Coffee with you Mom always makes the day a better time.

Springtime weather

So what do 4 children do while Mom cleans? They run outside as fast as they can before she makes them help in some way! Their egg chalk got drug out and they colored me pretty steps. They took out sand toys and played in the grass. matthew had out his golf set and hit a few balls and the older kids had out the soccer ball they put on their leg and jump over. They spent the whole day out and today to for the most part.

And to be fair they also cleaned that toy room for me in the end anyway! And Samantha helped me too in the afternoon. And really keeping an eye on the 2 younger ones so I can clean is more help then I plan to tell the older kids as then they will think I am going to start having to pay them to keep an eye on them.

But the weather though chilly in the morning has been just beautiful by afternoon each day this week.

Mini on Easter

Yes yes I know no pictures of the older kids. I have some and they are coming. And I will take pictures of them with their Easter presents tomorrow as they will be wearing and using them for the first time!

But here is Mini all dressed up for Easter but the only way to make her happy was a freezy pop! And then her naked but for undies with her gift from the Easter bunny a Bike but not just any bike a Dora bike!

New pictures of baby Logan

Yes I have new photos of baby Logan! And this is his Mom Lisa and one of my best friends! She looks awsome for only 5 weeks after having a 10 lb baby! And Logan's hair is getting more and more red everyday!

Mini and a new hair style

I did Mini' hair this week. She let me play a bit with it and we got a new look. She is soo stinking cute when she lets me play with her hair! She of course had to make faces at the camera as I was trying to get a picture of the hair style.

Spring Cleaning

oh how I hate hate that word but that is what I did today. I started Spring Cleaning. I also am going to paint our bedroom tomorrow. I will post before and after pictures.

For those of you praying for my Mom thank you. She has pre-op Monday and a D&C scheduled for Wed. They will scrape and then test the wall as they is a wall in her uterus that looks suspicious. So please continue the prayers as the next week will be long.

I will be taking her to the hospital Wed afternoon at 2:30. I will update and let you know how it goes.

I have pictures of the kids but this too will wait as I NEed to get my room prepped for to,morrow and painting! Poor Dennis is having a heart attack i think as I picked a dark red and cream color and a dark green for an accent wall. He is not a fan of red like me but ended up loving the livingroom so he is willing to see how it looks. Not that I plan to repaint anytime soon!

And for Maria Mini even pooped on the potty today! Let us celebrate that! I will do a whole post on potty training a differnt time. maybe tonight if I am not falling over dead when I get this last things done.

doctor appts

Nope not for me or my kids. My mom had an appt today. They ran a few tests and we will get word back later this week and next week. I am hoping and praying for all good news to report. Though I am not so sure she will like that I just announced it on here.

But for now I have no word on anything and either does she. I am just believing it is all fine.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! We spent lunch with Isy and the gang and now for supper we are home and I plan to move the grill away from the house and grill steaks for supper. Yes the snow is on the ground as it snowed for 2 days straight here but I have to grill as it is calling to me.

I am so ready for spring and fires outside and the cabin and fishing! Warmer weather and sunshine and outside really anywhere outside but the cabin too is calling to me.

Also, tomorrow is an important day. If you could pray all goes good I will explain it all tomorrow. Dad I will call you tomorrow evening.

oh I spoke too soon

So yea i was all impressed Mini was doing so very good at potty trainng and she does do good. She is in undies to stay but unlike my other three who potty trained and then really had no accidents Mini still has 1 a day. But she does not want to pee or poop for that matter for anyone but me. Not for Dennis and not for a babysitter. So Dennis and I went out for dinner last night and she pooped. (I was sad my regular babysitter was not here) And today at Easter she had 2 accidents to. As she had to go potty She wanted her Daddy but then did not pee for him.

It is the strangest thing that she only wants to pee for me. So I guess I will lbe sticking close to home as I try to get her better at this potty going. As today showed me we have a ways to go. But once more she was dry at night. So at least that is going good for her.

wow

I am amzed at how quickly Mini has taken to potty training. She has only had 2 accidents in the last almost 3 days! I ams o proud of her and it is nice to be done. She has gone out and about with no issues yet and even told someone last night. I do not wear diapers only undies!

So my baby is a big girl now and loving it.

Dad I mailed you a package. No letter as I sealed it before I remembered to write one sorry!

Other then that we are doing good. Dennis will have a birthday next week and he starts his new job Monday. The kids have off after today until the monday or tuesday after Easter. I do not know what we have planned exactly yet except that we will join family for Easter dinner.

the start of day three

yep this afternoon marks the beginning of day three of potty training and I am so very happy to say we have not had an accident since yesterday afternoon. Do i think she will never have one lets not get wild. I am actually very surprised as the other three took till the end of day three to pick up on the potty training.

So it is going good here and tonight she will go to boy scouts to watch the cake auction. And I want to say even last night went good. She got up only once to go pee.

new toy and new shirt

Dennis got a new toy and he is so pleased as he can expand his workouts here at home now. And I made this shirt for my Dad. Though it is in the wash today Dad as the whole cake incident got red frosting all over it as she used your shirt to clean off the evidence!

old pictures

ok I finally downloaded pictures from the other camera today. The first 2 pictures are of mini playing in the shelves under the tv. She loves to pull blankets out and climb in to play.

The next photo is Emily and the kids playing. She helped Samantha do her Valentine cards this year. Emily is our babysitter. The kids love her and therefore we love her!

Mini about a month ago went through a stage of not going to bed. And so she would fall asleep on the steps. And sleep until one of us went and found her and put her to bed. Why no one knows but I am amazed she never fell down the stps as we found her like this 3 or 4 times.

The last photo is the yellowing bruise on poor Matthew's nose from his run in with Mini. The eyes were no longer black and blue just the yellow nose.

ok so now that I have taken a deep breath anf fixed my cake and allis right in the world. Here are the pictures of the cake last night. I will take fnished cake pictures tonight.

But really how can you stay mad at her face. She kept asking while I was working on the cake last night and then this morning. You like me Mommy? Last night I told her I loved her just did not like her much. Which she always followed with a I am sorry Mommy. So of course then you have to forgive her. What is it with red frosting and kids? Austin only got into the red frosting yesterday. Mini really liked the red frosting and when Stephen got into the frosting at 18 months it was the red frosting too! No more red frosting in my house! Way to much work!
