Busy week

Well we will be busy little bees here at our house this week. We need to get things together for first comunion this coming Sunday. We did get Samantha some glasses ordered and she seems excited to wear them as the frames are pink! Got to love that!

But Dennis may just have a few job offers coming ths week and he may take one of them. It looks like we may be headed back to the West coast after all. Though nothing is signed yet and nothing will be till next week for sure. We did tell the kids we may just be moving and they are worried they will never see Grandma and Papa form Minnesota again. So we talked that over with them that we will visit here just like we do Oregon. And that they can come visit us too.

So some very exciting times here for us!! So say a prayer as this would be a big move. And we all are a bit excited and nervous all at the same time at the thought of trying to move 4 kids and us accross this country one more time!

Samantha's 8 year well check

well depending on how you take it all it is good and bad news.

She weighed in at 62 pounds and is 51 1/2 inches tall in the 70% for both height and weight so perfect in everyway!!

She is a healthy 8 year old with 3 teeth missing but they are coming in. Now onto what she sees as the worst news in the world right now.

Samantha will be gonig to see an eye doctor when i can get her an appointment as she is seeing 20/100 out of one eye and 20/40 out of the other. With both open it is 20/50 so there iwll be glasses in her near future. She is so sad. As she thinks it is not normal so please when you see her in them later make sure to say how cute she is as I am sure she will be adorable!

Her other issue is she has scoliosis. Yes her mother seems to have passed on this lovely little issue to her. So we will be watching it very close and we will get a set of x-rays of her each year to watch it change and go from there. As we have 8 or so years of growth left to go we know it will change. So say a prayer t does not get too bad and need anythign done with it.

So Samantha is tucked in bed after a dr appointment and girl scout graduation. She is ok with the thought of glasses now as Mom and Dad wear them but the thought of being teased has her up in arms. So say a prayer this all goes well for her. As I hate the thought of her being upset.

The beep beep has returned

the very much loved beep beep has returned to the house. Papa brought it back on Sunday. Samantha is a much better driver but while the kids are in school Matthew can drive if you watch close that he does not run into the car! But Mini loves it as much as the others do! You got to love hours of fun in the sun and a beep beep to ride in around the yard!

Happy Birthday Samantha

My dear little girl. Today you turn 8 years old! I can not believe the time that has passed! From such a little thing to such a big girl! Never in my life did I think I would be so blessed, but there you are. I remember holding you in the hospital and thinking how tiny you were. Stephen fell in love with you at sight as did Daddy and I. Though he would cry and yell at the nurses for taking you away to check up on you.

I love you little one! Thank you for allowing me to be your Mom each and every day and allowing me to try to be better at it each day.

my Hockey adventures

Well I guess I will tell you about them but I do not know that I have pictures as the ones from the playoff game seemt o be gone. i can not find them on the computer so unless Dennis can figure it all out I am lost of pictures!

This year I was lucky enough to get to go to 2 of the last games the Wild played. And then we made the playoffs and I go the chance to see a play off game! OK let me tell you way better! It was the best game I have seen and the fights were some spectaculer scenes. Now if the refs could have put their glasses on before the game it would have been nice but I went to game 4 and we kick some Duck butt.

But sadly the season is over as the Ducks handed our butts to us in game 5 which gave them their needed 4 games. But I hope next year to get the chance once more to go to a few games as I have really fallen in love with Hockey all over again.

Maria came with me to one of my games. i talked Dennis into one and he even had fun and then I went with my firend Tia to the playoff game. And I want to say no one believes me but they never lost when I went to see them play so I think I am their good luck charm!

11pm

yea the non sleep sleepover! But they had a good time and no one got banged up so it must have been a good day!

And the girls played well enough together that Dennis and I got the last 2 windows painted and rehung!

Chocolate Cake

Samantha and her cake! The girls tell me this is the best cake they have ever had! Costco did good!

Yep Mini stole Samantha's latern she got for her birthday! Even before the next gift got opened!

Samantha and her first sleep over

Samantha and her friends Lyndsey and Katie. Samantha had her first sleepover last night with friends for her birthday. Not sure why they call it a SLEEP OVER not much sleep was had by any. It was after 11 when I finally got them all to sleep and it was barely 6 when they were up running again!

Samantha got gifts which she loved! And Mini was right in there!

Yea Mini was in white so before the outfit is all stained I wanted to get a picture of her in it! So very cute she is too!

The house

Here are the new shots of the house since the siding was done. They even did the playhouse so it matches for us. It looks so nice to drive up to a new sided house!

Mini and her Daddy

Yep food again. her Daddy had some cearal and of course she needed some too. You can not have food not not expect to share it with Mini. That girl likes her some food!

The boys

The boys love to sit in the same chair to watch tv together and to play game boy they are so stinking cute though all cuddled up together!

And I wonder sometimes

You know I wonder sometimes what goes on in Mini's little head! So we got home form easter and she napped and napped. So Dennis decided to reseal the eantryway as the ants had found a way in. So I vaccumed up those pesky ants and Dennis got to the sealing. Well the girl decided this must be something we needed much help on as she got right in there to help! Now easter dresses are not made for sealing in or trying to lift the vaccum wherever you think you may want it. But no one told her that. SO after we got her to leave the everything alone we got the floor all clean with her on my hip. But as a side note the ants are gone and she is clean again after a shower. And no more ants have found their way into my house.

Easter outfits

You know as a Mom you always think the kids will sit all nice and quiet and let you get a picture of those cute outfits they wear for a holiday. Yea here that never happens. I notice how many holidays we get no pictures of the outfits as they all look bad. So I took them even though they are not the best. Easter brought me 4 beautiful children and a husband who looked great too! So what that I have no good shots of clean children. I had them clean for a time anyway just not at the same time they were not moving is all. So you all get action shots of the kids.

Yes Mini once again has a black and blue forehead. If anyone can talk the girl into not climbing chairs and falling or tripping on brooms please tell me the trick as the girl is forever falling trying to do something she can not do. It is just that she has not figured out she can not sweep the kitchen flor with the big broom as it is 3 times her size! So she is fine just got a goose egg once more.

Notice Matthew's bruise is goig away. though good weather someday will bring a new one I am sure. He too is one to take life on head first and forgets to slow down sometimes. But the children were beautiful and well behaved and that is all I can ask for. I wonderful day with family and children who played great all day with the others!

Easter Morning

The kids got up early to see what that bunny had brought them. The kids loved their baskets and Mini not sure what to think till she realized that those little bags were skittles and the world is always good when you have candy. Yesterday she figured out how to open the chocolate animals and bit one and it lost its head. At least she bit someone elses and not hers! Because hey if you can always eat someones elses chocolate! Then you stikll have yours. No one said she was a dumb bunny!

Lisa and the babies

Lisa came over to visit with Maria and I while we were here one day. her boys got to play with the older kids and Austin got to play with Mini and Amari! Yea but I must say getting all 3 babies in one picture no possible for us. Lisa had Austin and Amari at once though. But getting them to look for a picture. Yea not going to happen. Just an FYI Mini is the oldest the Austin is 6 months younder then Mini and Amari is 6 months younger the Austin so it was neat to see what 6 months means for these young little ones.

I am getting you all caught up as I was behind witht he blogging as we had Maria here and I just did not get the pictures off the camera in forever. These birds were hanging outin the back yards just eating away! Tons and tons of them just there.

Dennis was amazed and They of course flew away as we wanted a pictures. But Spring must be coming soon!

Just hanging out

Dennis and the kids just got cozy. They were hanging out with each other and watching a show. The kids love to use him as a couch and he just loves to hang out witht he kids. It is so nice to have him just hang out with them. And they soak it up and cuddle in.

Mini and a hat

Rose found a hat in the box as I was putting way the other hats and she felt the need to have it on then off and then on of course! But she was cute while she did it and she let me get the work of putting away winter things. of course now that work was all for nought anyway as once again the snow has fallen in MN and instead of the 80 degree weather we had 2 weeks ago it is frezzing and there is snow on the gorund. I am hoping for warmer weather next week.

You know it does a Mommy good when all her kdis play nice together. When you hear the quiet and go down to look and it is not because there are markers everywhere, that there is not toliet paper everywhere or water for that matter. Instead it is because your 4 children have decided they like each other for the moment and they can just play together. Well Mini of course was not ino n it she finds her own little world but she was sfe and sound and not eating anything gross. A good day all around!

Stephen and Mini

The kids were playing the other day. And I caught them at it. Stephen leaves if he sees you with the camera anymore. He is getting so big! He is not into giving kisses to Mom and Dad anymore either. But I still get my hugs from him. He holds up Mini's blanket and then she runs into it and they play bull. It is always so much fun to watch them together. And he is so good with her all the time!
