Anoka Dance

On friday night Dennis and I went out to a dance after I got off work. It was loud it was crowded and it was lots of fun. Watching drunk people dance and spill beer never grows old. The first picture is our friends Laurie and Haunns and the other people besides the one of Dennnis I do not know who they are. But like their costumes. If you look close in the one you can see a person dressed as a Chipolte burrito. Not me but what a great plan!

making seeds

So what to do with the mess left behind. Well of course you hand pick out all the seeds and make them up into pumpkin seeds.

So there they are 5 cups of seeds. The kids like them and so do I. Dennis and Dad insisted on trying them before they were all roasted so hated them. Dennis says they good now though and snacks on them. We plan on trying squash seeds next. Maybe not this year as Mom is almost done with her squash cutting.

so we carved up our pumpkins on Sat night. Mini not really into that at all. Matthew was not sure at all either but he took his little saw and cut into the pumpkin. The it was time to scoop it out! That did not go so well till we gave him the little scoop. This grabbing slimy things with hand not up his alley.

Blogger hates me sometimes and does not let me post pictures for you all but I will try try again in a mintue to post a few for you.

The wind is changing

So I have not blogged about it yet to see if it really happened but it has so yes it seems that I have gone to work. We decided we would see how it goes but I am working 2-3 days a week in the evenings at Target. I had my first night last nigth and I loved it! Though the kids were not so in love with it. Dennis not so much so either but I have not been so excited since opening a Christmas gift! Though I have decided I must be old as the people in training with me were young and I swear not the brightest bulbs on the tree. But that too is ok there were some my age but people do not show up on time for training! What is up with that? But I am one who thinks that is everything! Not my job to worry about it though.
So i work on Friday to train some more. Then I have off till Sunday and then off for like 4 days. So we will see how the kids do withme gone a few nights a week but I look forward to this new adventure.

A Halloween Parade

Yea it amazed me to that people have parades this late but they do. And not only that a million people come out for it. The rain stayed away Sat when we got home so we showered and went to the parade. Now I have yet even now been able to see why they have a parade at night. Only half the floats were lit up. ANd it was long. I will not be returning to the parade again. I guess they have a daytime one this Sat but get this. People go sit at 7am for a 1pm parade and the parade itself lasts 4 hours! Who in their right mind would go sit that long?!! Not this woman!

Anyway the first shot is of the people we went with. Our firends Laurie and her 4 kids and then Tia and Kent and their 2 kids plus Their Grandma! So lots of us met up down there. And none of us will go again. But there were plenty of people they will not miss us next year!

Outside at the cabin

These shots are at the cabin except the last. It was taken on the way home. Loved the leaves. The colors with the wet were just brilliant. Which is why I got some of the needles hanging and the groudn with a little tree popping up.

Well I was uploading pictures of outside at the cabin but they are not loading. I think it is a sign I need to go to bed.

and we had fire

only on Sat and Dad got it to go. We cheated and put dry cut wood on to get it to go. But we had a fire. There is nothing better. The boys put up deer stands. We shot target practice. And I even shot for the first time in a long time. I think the last time I shot was when Samantha was 2. So 6 years. And I got to say I did not do bad with my 2 shots. Dennis did good with his rifle to. So he is all set to deer hunt.

They also took out the 2 docks. So it was a busy weekend even with the rain. And we had a good time.

The kids did really good considering it rained a lot. And they played on the floor of the cabin with the bucket of toys. They also went out int he rain and got wet! LOTS! They played in the sand box and Dennis got them to brush off most of it before coming in the cabin. The took them and washed them from head to toe since they were not the same color as they went outside as.

They also found new friends to play with Sat and they found the swamp and of course went through it not around it while playing and got wet. Not as wet mind you as their new friends who I am not sure had been in the swamp before. Who upon getting out had to change their pants shirts jackets and socks and shoes. Mine only got their socks and shoes wet. Well Matthew got his pants wet too since it was up to his knees wet. But the noise they made and happy noise at that was well worth the extra laundry I got to do.

Silly silly girl

Yes she is that and so much more. She sees a camera turn on and says CHEESE! And makes a funny smile and face. That mind you are very cute! But silly all the same. She will stop what she is doing to say cheese. Which is what she did by the door there. She was playing so nice but stopped to smile at me. Then she runs over once the flash goes off and wants to see see! I tell you she is silly beyond all imagination!

And tonight as she fell apart I wanted so badly to see that smile. I hope the morning brings a happy girl again!

Nice shots

Yea not really a lot to say about these. But I like them. The one of Mini and I is a self portrait. I love the one of Samantha and Papa. And then me and my girls.

Cabin trip

Yea we went to the cabin! Now you all know that makes this a happy woman! But you guessed it. It rained! A lot!
We got there Wed night at midnight or so and it was raining. It rained all day Thur and most of Friday. Sat it was beautiful. Of course we had to come home Sat. But the morning was great!

The first picture is of Mini in her new winter coat. And the second is of Matthew and Mini dragging sticks to the fire ring in case it ever stopped raining so we could light said fire. Of course they got soaked getting the wood!
The third picture is what children will do if it rains all day! We were working int he shed. And Peter had brought up 2 4 wheelers and Dad's was there to. So they hopped on while we cut the tin on th side of the shed. Loud is all I can say about doing that!

Did we move?

Tell me did we move to Oregon and no one told me? Because let me tell you all it does is rain here! The kids found their rain boots and headed out to the deck as they were tired of being inside. Matthew found sticks and Mini ran around in circles not sure what to do as she was getting wet. Someday it will stop! They promise me!

Camp pictures

I will not be listing the boys names as I have no clue if their parents are ok with them being in the pictures or not. And so I am just posting 2 pictures. In the one it is Stephen laying down shooting his bb gun for camp. The other is of the kids arriving at the camp all excited. I wish we had one of them when they arrived here to get picked up the next day. They all looked so tired!

Our weekend

So you know what I did. Dennis took his first year Weblos out camping! Yep in October. Needless to say there were some cold boys coming home on Sunday! They did activities all day Sat then set up camp. Of course they all got wet too since it is October and there is dew all over each morning.

So my boys were tired yesterday but Stephen had fun! Notice I said Stephen. I think Dennis was just ready to come home and sleep! But the boys had the chance to earn 3 of their needed achievments! So we are on our way to earning that arrow of light and our Webloes badge. As you know that is why anyone would do all this!

We also went to Grandma and Papa's house yesterday to pick up Matthew and Samantha. I swear some days Matthew does not like us as he once again did not want to come home! Though once he fell asleep he was fine. But when we woke him up at home he cried because he wanted Papa to come live with us! Silly boy is what I can say! As I found out Papa not only has 1 sand box! But 2 sandboxes! And you get to stop and have diet pepsi on the way home! How can I replace that I tell you? And you know what I still remember being little sitting next to my Dad drinking diet pepsi. And it solved all the worlds problems.

I wonder if the president sat and had diet pepsi with others if they could work it out to?

Anyway we will be busy this week packing to go to the cabin wed so I guess I best get my stuff done I need done in the house here. And mow the lawn as it is long. We have girl scouts tonight. And boy scouts tues night. SO we will be busy all week.

A not so good lunch

I can not believe I am typing this but I am so dissappointed in lunch today. Mini and I went ot go eat at Chipolte. Now most of you know my love of them! But today they had run out of Chicken and steak and black beans and chips! Hello how at lunch can you be out of over half of your menu items?! Mini of course loved her cheese Cassidia. ANd when my food got made it was good but bad attitude all the way around by employees to. Telling me when i work a grill for a day then I can talk. Well sir when you spend a day in my shoes we will talk to! Anyway you know I wrote them a letter. I hate rude people worse then I hate them running out of my food!

Lyndsey plays volleyball

We went ot see Lyndsey play on Thur night. The kids had a good time and of course Mini was in a Dora outfit. She owns 2 of them and it is all she likes to wear. Dennis worked late so it was just me and the kids.

what I did last night

Yep I went to see the Wild play. We first sold programs in support of Special Hockey which our friend Tia's son is playing. It is a wonderful program for kids who can not play traditonal hockey. And he gets to play now! He is so excited you should see him!

The first picture is of him at the game. We got to go watch after first period. His Dad is next to him. Tia as normal did not wat a picture!

The score was the same at the end of the game because during the 3rd period the refs (who were from Canada I am sure) took our goal form us. Not happy campers in the stands mind you! Then gave us a penalty for something we did not do. So the last 2 minutes of the game were a bit scary as the Edmonton Oilers pull their goaly and we had to play 6 on 4 but our backstrom held them off and we shut them out!! GO wild!

Mini and the minnows

Mini so loves anything in water you all know that with our past posts on her and water. Well, Nancy and Larry had minnows left over from fishing. It is really a good thing there was no need of them as I believe they all are dead after these pictures. Matthew got in on this to by the way. He just was not in on it when Nancy had her camera out. And that is 2 minnows she caught in her bare hand in one pass I must tell you!

Mind you we had no clothes on because she had an accident and she had to wait till they got washed and dried at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Our new babysitter

You have heard me mention our babysitter Emily. She is a senior here at our high school. She is the best! The kids love her and she has her feet firmly on the ground. She drives to our house and drives home afterwards.

She is shy and will not allow me to get a picture of her but I got her hair the other night when she watched the kids.

I know I know

I know I have not updated in awhile. Why? No clue really. Not much to say I guess.

Sunday we went to see Joe Jr at the farm. We had lunch with lots of family and we wore poor Joe out. We left at 3pm but my Matthew did not wish to come with us so for the first time ever he is having a sleep over. Yes not just one sleep over but 3. He is coming home tomorrow! It is so very quiet here at home. No constant chatter from my little boy. Stephen and Samantha are missing him as well. They want their hugs each morning and after school. Mini wants her partner in crime. Though I must say she is not causing nearly the amount of trouble. I wonder who puts some of those ideas in her head that now she is not doing any of them?

Dennis and I miss him to as no one is sneaking in bed with me in the morning. And really he is a good little guy. But Mom and Dad say he is doing great and playing really well with his little cousins who come to play with him. And I know he is having a blast! But tomorrow will be a good day as he comes home.
