On a gloomy day in July

I am sitting here updating this blog of course, but I have a big day ahead of me.

I am doing load after load of laundry. Ihave put away all the laundry I did last week and the kids are doing the same for theirs. I am also starting the packing game. I should be done by this afternoon.

We are supposed to go canoeing down the Mississippi but I do not know what the rule is on rain and all that stuff. Because in all honesty I do not want to canoe in the rain. But it may just clear up by 4pm.

I also want to make my kids t-shirts. Why? Because I have made everyone and their brother a shirt but not my kids in a long time. So I will take one child at a time and let them pick a design and do it together. I will show the results later. As I need to do them and I want them done by this afternoon to! I love days like today when I know I will get things done. Why? Because I have an agenda and a list. Oh how I love me a list to go off of. Well and it does not hurt I have to stay home to wait on DHL to pick up a package, it is raining so who wants to go outside and play in a sandbox really?!

Oh the drama

Queen that is! So you may wonder why is she taking pictures of Mini walking away and waving her hand? Well that is because my dear daughter told me in no uncertain terms. No pictures of me today! Yea those exact words. Not a Mommy just thinking it as she walked away. No she turned faced me said no pictures and flipped her head and held up her hand as if to say talk to this lady! And off she walked.
But as she stands here moving her blanket edge to edge trying to find a part that she likes the smell of she wants me to take her picture and say cheese!

Dennis and Matthew on the tube

One day we went out to the lake and went tubing once more. Just for a short time. I went with the 2 younger ones in the jet ski and Dennis then took Matthew out on the tube with him as they went flying around the lake! He had a good time till the stopped and he went underwater for a second till the life jacket popped him back up. He thought he was drowning.

Poor Matthew I think will just stick to the jet ski tube that eh doe snot fall off. As it does not tip.

Images of a bad self portrait

Yea so Larry and I were trying to take our picture together. Not so great at it. It took a lot of trys and people saying if our faces were in the picture. But funny! I am surprised we did not end up on the ground trying to get it! Sat night was soo much fun and we got to plan our trip to Iowa while sitting there to! So Dennis and I will be driving to Iowa on Friday to visit the pigs. And you all know I love me the pig farm!

A fire at the farm

We lite the fire and we had a good time and a lot of people showed up to sit around it and drink some beer and pop and wine around it. Grant and Emily, Joe and Pat, Mom and Dad, Nancy and Larry, Lisa and Allen, Steph and Grant, Me and my 4 kids, Roger and Ian, and Kristie. We had a good time and laughed and listened to stories all night.

The little pool

So back to the farm we went and there was Mini and Matthew just a busy playing in the pool. I took a picture not 1 minute later and Mini had lost her diaper but in the name of no one arresting me for a naked picture you will not see it.

They had so much fun but cold! We are talking this water came straight out of the hose. And there is only one setting cold! So they cooled off and ran around. And got dressed to warm up!

Off to Shorty's we go

So Sat off to Shorty's we went to get some beer and darts in. We threw a lot of games and we had a good time doing it! Poor Lisa never knows what she is getting herself into when she comes out with me! My arm was sore for 2 days from throwing so many games. But so very worth it!

More to come

I have more to come. A trip to Shorty's and a fire at the farm but I got to get up and move around and figure out lunch here!

The last of ValleyFair

Ok these are the last pictures of ValleyFair that I will post. The younger two also loved the plane ride. It went in circles and it went up and down if they pulled or pushed on a handle. They lvoed it. Rode it 5 times in a row once!

The older kids met us every few hours at the Panda Express so I knew all was fine with them. And they talked themselves out of riding the wild thing all day but at 9:30pm they finally all went on it. Slowly but shirley each of them stepped up to ride the big roller coaster! And they loved it every minute of it! And then they went on it 3 or 4 more times till it was time to go home!

And I looked down and my legs looked like this all the way up! YIKES!! By the next morning it looked better everywhere but my ankles! Now it is all gone and no longer itches. No clue what it was but I hope it stays gone forever!

More rides More fun!

So the kids rode the little train also! I never knew it could be so fun! I wonder what the man driving really thought of this job? And you had to be under 54 inches to ride but then you had him. No parents allowed on this ride I tell you!

But after work Dennis came and met us and he rode with us on rides to! Matthew about died laughing on the tilter whirl after about the 5th time on there. I think we rode it like 8 or 9 times total all day!

The car ride

Ok really I am not so sure what the big draw is but after riding it at least 4 or 5 times on Thur I know there is one for kids. I let everyone drive me around and let me tell you the look in Samantha's face is how I felt a lot fo the time. For sure when we were dumb enough to let Mini drive us around. We pushed the gas pedal and she steered! Ok the girl would not let us help! I got shots of Steph and Grant, Kristie and Matthew, Mitchell and Stephen. We ran into all of them driving in a circle!

Valley Fair Thur

So last Thur we went to Valley Fair! OMG did we have fun. We left our house at 9am and got home a little after 11pm! We had 2 picnics and we rode more rides then I can count. You will notice there is not a lot of pictures of Stephen and Samantha. That would be because I took my 4 kids plus Mitchell and Garrett with us and those 4 went together and did not hang out with us cool people!
Kristie hung out with me all day so that Ihad someone to ride with the kids on the rides. As Matthew needed an adult for a ride and Mini needed her own adult. But once in a while we got to see the older kids on a ride and I could snap a shot of them. If you notcie the bridge there with the wave ride, the older kids stood on there to get a new meaning of the word wet!

But fun was had by all and no one fought ever! Lisa and Allen and their kids were there too and Lisa has more pictures on her camera but they walked around together too so I do not have many pictures of them either.
