A new season will begin

Bowling will start again! And we had our meeting to talk things over. Kristie came with and she will be subbing with us this year. Nothing like going to a meeting and getting talked into things! But then we got to bowl for free and we had a good time. We met our waiter for the year and he is good let me tell you! It was so nice to order a drink and it get there! And be the right one!

My weeks sewing

I did not add pictures of my underwear for shorty as I forgot to get a picture before I sent them off with Kristie. But I have more laying here ready to make so I will be sure to take one as I know you just can not live without seeing them. And really Kristie and I Did something cool to some of them!

They are here!

Dad and Bonnie are upstairs sound alseep! They got in very early this morning. Dennis left at 4:30am to go get them and got back here I want to say at 6am. (Me I stayed sleeping as one of us had to stay with the children who sleep sometimes!)

And since they are all sleeping I will go download some pictures for you all as I know you just want to see what I have been doing!

oh the madness

I may just download some pictures today so I can just sit and go through them. I am doing laundry and cleaning today. And then because I can I felt like organizing! And doing some sewing! We have a party to go to tonight at Lisa and Steve's house and are looking forward to that. But that means by 4pm I need my house in order and something cooked to feed the bunch there and laundry done and all that good stuff!

So I may or may not get to pictures today but I am thinking on it anyway! We met the teachers last night and the kids like them both. We got their MCA test scores and both did really good in Math and Samantha did really good in reading. Stephen's score dropped in reading so I will have to be sure to watch as reading is so important! So i will be watching those two at the start to be sure the school year gets going right.

I can not believe this is Stephen's last year of elem school! Where has the time gone? My baby has got so big! No snack for him this in school just off to school and home each day!

busy here as always

Yea so we are busy here at our house as always really. I always think when a new season starts it will slow down. No we just find other things to do is all. And getting ready for school is no different!

I have all the things they need but we still have to get everything into backpacks to take to open house tomorrow. And today we are off to go see Grandma and Papa at the farm and visit with Aunty Laura and show her we have not hurt the puppy yet!

And I have been sewing up a storm. I will drop off some underwear for Shorty later today and make more tonight. And I made a surprise for Laura and of course Kristie came to visit yesterday so she has a new shirt to bring home to. Though she is coming to the farm with me for lunch and may just be coming back home with me again too.

I made myself 2 new t-shirts too and made Crosby a new blanket for her little one so she can wash his when it is dirty. It stinks and he is as protective of his green blanket as Mini is of her pink pink blue green one. (since she said it is not just pink) I have another 18 underwear t make for Shorty and I have plans for some towels that should get made. So I have plenty to keep me busy here. Since I got rid of my last Sun Bonnet Sue set I need to make myself another set to have on hand.

And we are getting ready for a visit from Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Alexander! They are coming in on Sat morning at 5am! The kids are excited to see them and show off their puppy and their things. So the weend before school starts will be exciting here! And they get to stay and play with us till Wed night late. So I will be cleaning tomorrow too yet. Nothing like having the week all planned out and still not know where the time will come from!

So I am here and i have pictures but I will have to get them downloaded and up sometime, but just when remains to be seen!

You will have wood

For Dad we got more wood on Sat. Otherwise you know I would not go and haul more wood! LOL We had so much fun cleaning up the wood along the path. And we left you this Dad so you could start a fire when you go up next! We worked on the bear trail again so it is looking good. We also worked on a fort for Matthew and Stephen and Samantha built one too so the kids spent time out in the woods learnign to use more imagination then they have in awhile! I loved it and was not happy to come home Sunday. Though a shower after 7 days away was more then welcome.

Hanging out

So after a day of getting wood and boys being boys having a good time cutting up dead trees. We hauled it to the fire and sat by it until late Friday night. Twtich making the rounds on laps as I was afraid with our luck up there he would get burned as he is not so smart and loves to go smelling the fire! He even got to lay on the beloved blanket of Mini while up there!

Watching the deer

We sat and watched the deer on Thur night for 30 minutes with no end in sight. This deer did not care we were watching. Not convincing the kids they could not sneak up on him was a whole new ball game! Twitch the dog did not care there was a deer he was too busy sleeping under the car.

I did come out later and it was almost completely dark and the biggest deer I have ever seen was down there! Samantha got a peek at him but then he was gone.

Random shots of dirty faces

Yea Mini had a dirty face I think the most out of them all! She would talk Papa into a 4 wheeler ride and ice cream cones more then once a day sometimes! And Samantha was watching the deer here. Sitting in the dirt playing!

Mishap #2

So thur morning dawned bright and we went fishing and in the afternoon Mini did not nap. Never good really. So I knew after supper she would go down to sleep. Well I was outside grilling ribs (that ended up burned) And she was running between me and Papa filling sand buckets and triped right into the fire ring. Yea my worst nightmare up there. And planted her whole hand onto the ring. Thankfully the fire was not as hot as it is most times. Grandpa and I both knew right away that scream and got her inside and her hand in ice water. She did great and kept it there for 2 1/2 hours. Longer then I would have made her but it made it feel better as it was the only time she was not crying.

And after the whole hand being all wrinkled when I brought her in she only ended up with 1 blister. That has now popped but she has been really good about letting me put salve on it and change the bandage a few times a day. But I was afraid for Friday to dawn for what would happen next?!

But this is the end of our mishaps. And everyone had a really good time. Just some heart stopping moments for a Mommy and Papa.

Mishap #1

So Matthew and Stephen were messing around with a log and a stick and the stick broke and it hit Matthew in the back of the head. After he could not move his head we took him to the Marcell clinic and they sent us to Big Fork Hospital for x-rays and hanging out to see if he fractured his skull or broke his neck. So after it was all said and done we got to come home in a stylish neck brace to help support his head. And he got to take lots of motrin and you know by the next day he was doing better not great but better and by Sat was back to normal! This happened on Wed. So it took time but the swelling went down and his head started moving much better everyday!

on a qwest for Oscar

We went fishing everyday at the cabin in a qwest for Oscar. And though this trip had a lot of fishing it also involved a lot of mishaps to. So Dad catching not1 but 2 7 lbs Northerns was fun! Mini thought we should throw them out and only catch little ones. Which Grandpa did for her to! Like 2 that were not 12 inches long! He did catch 2 30 inch Northerns and a 25 1/2 Northern. I caught a few too but none that needed to be measured. The kids caught a lot of sunnies too so we had plenty of fish to bring home with us to!

Sleeping away the day

Dennis and the little ones were in need of a nap while I pack on Sat to leave Sunday. Chasing a puppy makes for tired children! Who knew?!

Introducing....

introducing our new clan member! Twitch is his name and he will be 8 weeks old on Sunday. Thank you to Aunty Laura for giving grnadma a puppy to give to the kids! And to grandma for bringing us a puppy!! Daddy is even coming around and said he may talk to you both again some day! LOL Twitch has not got to put his feet down except when I force them to let him 1 eat, 2 go pee or 3 go to bed so he can have some time alone! But I am thinking the puppy loves 90% of the attention. Some of it is hard on him. But he goes to sleep anytime anyone lets him alone. They are running him tired that is for sure!

At the farm

So we are at the farm. And I have a surprise to post about but you will have to wait till tomorrow to find out what it is! I have pictures so that is why you have to wait!

I am not doing the craft fair tomorrow as Dennis would like to spend time with the kids and I before we go to the cabin on Sunday. And since we plan to leave Sunday and not come back till Friday if I go to a craft fair all of tomrorow we will not see him at all really as he is working tonight and we are here.

So till tomorrow I am off to watch the olympics!

The times of kids

Ihe kids have had arough few days with falls. And then they sit on the workout bench like nothing is going to happen! With their luck I am telling you I am surprised no one fell off. Stephen fell at the park on some rough concrete. His knee is still looking rough today and it has been 2 days. He is walking better today though.

getting ready

Busy getting ready for the craft fair. Looking good!

the finished shirt

Matthew's shirt was no more done then it was on him. So taking a picture had to be done on the fly! I am so glad when they love their shirts!

Matthew's shirt

Least you think I got my shirt back without some bargaining I will show you a sneak peek at what I am sewing while I type! A new shirt for Matthew! Yes he calls this the flying lizard fish. And when he is done I will have full ownership of my POW MIA sweatshirt back.

Jim's patch

So this is the patch I have worked on for 3 days straight. The first picture is at 2x2. I got the patch to work right but the lettering too small. At 3x3 which I found out today is the one I need it at the first one the edges were wrong. The second one I got the edges almost right, but the white lettering on the left side is off by a few mm. But I am getting closer to getting it right. Just more time is needed. the 4x4 is just way off and I am glad that is nto the one I need to work on.
