Tuesday we got home from Iowa at a little after 5pm. We had to have supper done by 6pm to be at National Night Out! To say a bit rushed is an understatment. But it is good we made it on time as the fire truck was there almost right at 6pm! And then later the sqat teams truck came and the kids got to climb around in there. Our Chief of Police came to visit us and so did the city counsil man from our neighborhood. The school super came and I doubt he wants to come back to our little neighborhood anytime soon!
The kids loved every minute of it. Me I kept thinking of all the things to be unpacked in my house! So we did not stay long but we shared a few dozen cobs of corn. And then after all the fun was done we came home and went on a bike ride and then put away all our treasures from Iowa and the beloved bent and dent store!
