sewing again

I finished a whole bunch of sewing this last 2 weeks. I have completed these 2 sweatshirts. The one is Dennis' and one is mine. Though 2 people have tried to take it already. I also did work shirts for Tia's husband and I did a US Army one that I forgot to get a picture of before I delivered it. I also did 2 hockey ones that I will need to get photos of. I have been busy doing some jobs for pthers and it is fun but I have some projects to do for me that I hope to do tomorrow or Monday.

I did 5 dance outfits yesterday and today and I have more work shirts to do when the shirts come in. I have 2 sweatshirts to do that are sitting here at the house. And I made another shirt that Matched Shorty's but for Kristie. So I am busy sewing when I am not working or hanging out with the kids. But enjoying every minute of it. Well most minutes anyway!

A little girl

Somedays I swear Mini has the biggest heart Ihave seen in a little girl. Other days I think she thinks up ways to make life hard. The other day she took the cover to the lincoln logs and hit Matthew right between the eyes. Not one but two black eyes later and a black and blue nose I am pretty sure it did not break. Why you may ask did she hit him? They were play. Matthew agrees and he told her to hithim soft but she hit as hard as she could. (mind you why you would tell her she could hit you in the first place is beyond this Mommy's ability to reason)

Anyway the eyes are almost not black anymore and his nose will only have a small scar. He is no worse for wear and they are playing all quiet now so no hard feelings but man I would hate to run into her in a fight later, unless she learns to stop hitting!

bowling fun

After bowling one week we went out. Karen and Janelle and I ordered food. (Way too much) So janelle had her other half come up. Minie and Karen's were gone on business. Poor Doug had to hang out with us girls. But we had a really good time and laughed lots.

My team is in the middle of planning our banquet for the year. We have the joy of planning it this year and since league is done at the end of April I need it done so I can get RSVP's in. But this wed we got most of the food planning done which is good.

Mini

This girl could make anyone giggle at her. She is so very silly. She is falling in Love with Little Enstiens and she let me do her hair one day again. She also loves to get pictures of her butt. I hope as she gets older she will still love her butt as much I am sure. But I thought I would giveyou a shot of it anyway as she is so very proud of it. Notice it has a diaper on it. As she has decided going potty is too much work. And Mommy and Daddy decided it is too much work to convince her otherwise at the moment.

back to school

The kids had off yesterday for President's day. Then a 2 hour late start today for some teacher thing. But they are back to school now and it is cold here. It is snowing a bit here but it will not amount ot much I am sure.

Stephen's neck is getting better each day and he even holds his head right now! I am so glad to see him not hurting anymore. Only a few weeks to his tonsils out and in all honesty I am looking forward to getting this done. Though i hope my hopes are not too high on what I expect from his tonsils coming out.

Everyone is healthy in the house for a few days and I have been busy sewing once more. My friend Tia had me make up 12 shirts for her husband and his friends with the company logo on them. I also did a hockey one and now today I am working on some towels.

I will get some pictures later but for now I need to go change colors and finish laundry as I am tyring to get that all caught up today to.

And the news on Stephen

His neck is getting better and he has surgery scheduled for 6 March 2008 at around 8am. He has not siad he is nervous at all but I can tell he is a bit. But he has a few weeks to forget till it happens. He will miss 1 week of school so I will get his work ahead of time so we can do it ahead of time.

But as long as his neck continues so well I am happy. The tonsils out should make his voice clearer he said and this should not reoccur. His adnoids will also be coming out. We get to go to the surgery center right down from the house the same one Samantha had hers out in 5 years ago. This same time of year. Come to think of it it is the same surgery center I was at for my second surgery last year this same time of year. Maybe it is feburary that is just a rough month for us.

Anyway we are all good here. I will post pictures from yesterday for you all in a few. I need to go get coffee.

introducing

I know many of you know my friend Lisa. She had her baby boy on my birthday last week. And today no one was ill so we got to go see him. So introducing Logan Stephen he weighed in at 9 pounds 10 ounces and was 21 3/4 inches long. Today he is 10 on the nose. He is little and cute as a button. Though it is hard to bleive our babies are 3 pounds less that at birth. He is still sweet smelling and the little hairs on his head so soft. They grow so fast...

game night for boy scouts

Last night we had boy scout game night. The kids had a blast and there are no pictures of Samantha as she ran out with the other girls and did not stay with our den. They bowled they played hockey and they decorated cookies. They got to play bingo and jump around. So a good time by all!

I must say the bowling was funny as I have never seen pins so very safe from anyone as they were from Matthew and Mini and they got to stand close to them too yet!

Mini asleep

Have you ever noticed how peaceful kids are when they sleep? I mean really looked at them. Mini was asleep in my bed when I got home on Monday night. I was watching her sleep. She is so quiet and so at peace. She had her blanket and her thumb, which she took out on the first flash. But that is all it takes to make her happy, a blanket and a thumb. Yet if you lay next to her she knows as she scoots her little self over to your heat and cuddles right in. If only it took a little blanket and a thumb to solve everyones issues.

Dennis likes to work

So I came home form work on Monday night this is what I find. A man sitting there working. Had been for 4 hours by that time at home. But notice he is wearing a sweatshirt with the tags on and the sticker on because that was too much work to take off. It still has the tags on but I made him take off the sticker! How he thinks I can wash it with tags on I do not know. I suppose I will have to take it off for him as it is in the laundry by now I am sure.

Ep was having trouble with outlook which is why he was busy working when I got home but I had to pick on him anyway as he did not answer a phone when I called him!

my birthday take 2

Yep i got to go out a second time for my birthday. Tia and Kent took Dennis and I out for dinner at the Texas Roadhouse and let me tell you some good food was had by us all! Tia and I slpit a full rack of ribs and the boys ordered steak and chicken and they shared with us and it was good too! They also had buckets of peanuts at the door while you waited and buckets of them at your table to eat too! We had a really good time and then Dennis seen the armidillo drinking the beer! So I had to show it to you all to!

Miller Lite girls

Ok I must say i was dissappointed. And I took a picture to show why! I have met the bud girls and they are awsome. And this was friday night and the Miller lite girls came to my work. Not nice they stood all mad looking most of the night. Though on Saturday the bacardi girls came and I guess they made up for it and had the place hopping! But I was out bowling for my birthday and missed them.

So the day after my birthday we had chocolate cake for breakfast. Just me and my 2 little ones. We sat around the table eating cake. Of course Mini is just dirty at the end but we had a good time eating anyway!

test results

The labs all came back good just like we all thought they would. I am so glad to hear it though. So now we wait till tomorrow to go see the doctor there. He is still holding his head to the side some but it seems to be a lot better since we give him IB. Anyway he is going to school each day and I think that keeps his mind off of it.

So I will let you all know what the doctor has to say in the morning.

stephen's dr appt

Well we just got back. He goes to the ENT doctor on Thurs afternoon. I knew that was where we were headed. I am sure he will be getting his tonsils and adnoids out. I plan on demanding it if they do not suggest it. And we wait for the blood work results to come back. And if it is bacterial already then we start antibiotics or we wait it out and go day by day. You all know that is not the answer I like!

Bad attitude

I have a bad attitude and need to readjust my attitude because really I expect the worst not the best in things right now.

Stephen woke up with a sore neck. The same sore neck as last July when he ended up in the hospital after a week. A week of pain for him and a lukemia draw at the end of that week and 2 days in the hospital. I can not have another child in the hospital so soon. Last year I thought with Stephen in the hospital once and me in the hospital twice and 2 surgeries that 2008 had to be better. I was so excited to see 2007 go away.

Now if 2008 is going to start off with Matthew in already once and Stephen looking bad today I am not so sure I am ok with 2008 yet either. Stephen's neck is all bumpy so I know this is what is happening all over again. He goes to see the doctor tomorrow at 2:45pm. I am going to insist on him going to see ear, nose, and throat as I want his tonsils out as I am sure this is causing him to once again have this, whatever this is.

The doctor told us last time that this is really painful. I am not surprised that Stephen once again is holding his head to the side. So please understand I am trying to be positive thinking here. So those of you who do please say a prayer this goes away soon for him. That we do not have to go to the hospital again. I do not think I can handle another trip there so soon.

work

I know a few of you have asked how work is going. It is going good really. Somedays I like that I am at a new place and like watching us get things together. Other days I want to scream as change is slow in a new place. And other changes are done on a daily basis so it is hard to keep up on one hand but it drags on the other. But I think they are getting the bugs worked out and I have not asked that anyone be fired in at least a week.

I have also not told them to pull it together or I leave in a week. So work is going good. I really like the people and I love being out amoung adults. I also like get to be in charge of my half of the waitresses. It really has been a good diet for me to. As I have lost 10 pounds running aorund each night. It is still an adjustment for the kids though as it is time away. But they are getting used to it as is Dennis. Now I just have to work on not staying up late on the nights I do not work. It is hard as I am used to working till 2 or 3am and then I can not sleep on the days I do not work till then. Which makes for a tired Mommy the next day.

my birthday

You know the difference a year makes on birthdays. Last year I did nothing for my birthday. I had just had gullbladder surgery. We had just found out life was chinging. Dennis was looking for a job in Oregon.

This year I bowled for league on my birthday. I got chocolate cake (yes dad the one from Costco!) and when I got to bowling with Dennis I had another cake there. Along with presents from friends. And my boss had gone out and got me a rose. I had phoe calls from Maria and Lisa B and my firend Lisa C had her son on my birthday! What more could I ask for from her?

I bowled my best 2 games of my lifew last night and I made average on the third and we had a blast with Dennis there. This was the best birthday I can remember in a long time. And I get to go out on Sat and bowl with Tia and Kent and Dennis again! Just think Dennis and I will have 3 dates in one week as we went to a movie on Sunday night! Unthinkable!

Mini at lunch yesterday

For my birthday Mini and I went to lunch with Tia. We dropped Matthew off at school and we had Chipolte. (did you realy think I went anywhere else?) Dennis got me a gift card there for my birthday! Such a sweet man! Anyway, I loved the pictures of her and the middle one she was waving all funny so it blurred but I still love the picture. The outfit is one she was given when she was born and yesterday was the first time she got to wear it!

doing homework

So now Mini has got into the kick of needing to do homework so she will sit at the table and work to her hearts content doing homework! She works so very hard at it to. I find it funnier then all get out watching a little 2 year old think so hard drawing me pictures for homework.

rollering skating with the Boy Scouts

On tuesday evening we went to cheap skate with the boy scouts. I had not been on roller skates in forever either had Dennis. Samantha had been once before Stephen twice. The first picture is of Matthew he went round and round and by the end got ok at it so that you only had to hold one hand. Samantha too got to where she did not take you out every 5 feet! That is her in the middle of two people trying to hold her up! And then Mini walked around the rink hold mine or Dennis hand but she was in socks! No skates for her.

Stephen did really good he went to fast to get a picture that did not blur. SO you got one of him having drinks with friends. They had a good time and after 1 1/2 hours I was tired!

This is just some pictures of Matthew I took whilehe was in the hospital. I have one form Monday on my cell phone but you do not get to see it as I know I am not that talented as to get it off my phone.
Matthew went back to school yesterday and did good his teacher said. They were happy to have him back. He had missed 2 weeks of school. He has gained back a pound too! I am off to buy more waffles for him as if nothing else sounds good he still loves him those frozen cinnimon waffles!

Happy Birthday to me!

today I turn another year older and what a year it has been. The kids asked how old I was now and I told them 105. I have been for 3 years now they do not seem to catch on yet. And they figured out how old I was when I had them and I was laughing but they accept that I was 97 when I had Samantha. I am talented I tell you!

getting better and better

the 2 little ones are getting better and better everyday! Matthew who has lost 5 pounds in all this started eating yesterday! I mean eating lots of food! And smiling and chatting up a storm! I am excited to report both of them are playing again. Mini has been for a few days but matthew is really just getting back to it. And Mini has really cut back on the coughing and Matthew is getting there. At least they are still sleeping at night.

Last night they both came in our bed but I moved them back to theirs and I do not think they ever woke up. So to get the whining to stop and the yelling to would be nice. As I know Matthew is still tired from all the sleep he lost so we have whining most of the day. So i do hope to get that all back to normal soon to.

But wanted to let you all know the kids are looking and feeling better.

Home home home

Yes we are home! We got to come home late yesterday evening but the main thing is we got to sleep here. Matthew is doing good on the meds he is on now and sounding much better. Still coughing up a storm but the cough meds with codine in it makes it better and has stopped him from throwing up.

Mini is sounding so much better to. So still coughing but she slept all night last night as did Matthew! It was so good to sleep in this morning and have no one crying and throwing up all night!

Thank you so much for all the prayers for the kids as it means a lot to us. We will be laying low here for the weekend. The ped at the hospital is hopeful that By Monday Matthew will really start to get better. If not back he goes to the doctor on Monday but I think he has turned the corner now and will just get better from here.
