outside

These pictures were taken at about 4:30pm so an hour and a half ago. So there is more snow now but it was so pretty out there I had to take some shots!

It is a good night to make pizza and play games inside once the kids come in. And stay warm!
But it sure is nice to look out and see all the pretty trees with the white snow all over them.

Snow snow and more snow!

Well here it is 5pm and after 24 hours of rain here it is now snowing on us!! It is finally winter in Minnesota! And my kids could not be happier!

Lots of snow and lots of snow fights already and a few tears too. As Matthew broke Samantha's big snow ball. Not that there is not a ton of other snow to make a new one but that happens.


Dennis coming in from his snow blowing. Which i don't know how much good it did as it is still snowing. We have lots on the ground already and I do not see it stopping yet. I wonder how much will fall by morning.

Matthew talks to Grandpa

I called Grandma and Grandpa today to see if they had any snow yet and Mattehw got to talk to. He even had on his Grandpa shirt to to it! He did not get that Grandpa was not in the next room as he told him we will be right there.

So we had to explain we will have to see him tomorrow not today. But they had a nice chat on the phone anyway. Though I am not sure Grandpa understood anything he said!

Mini and the potty chair

Mini loves Matthew's potty chair that he never uses. As he is too big to be sitting there. Daddy stands or sits on the big potty so that is where he sits. But we can not put it away as Rose is in love with the chair! Here are some shots from tonight. If anyone is using the bathroom so is she! SO be prepared to share your space!

She likes to climb in all by herself but sometimes that leads to getting stuck in the wrong spot! Which is so funny to see!

She is so like Daddy she found a book to read while she sat there. Not that she does anything on the potty she just likes to sit there and be cool like everyone else.

Sharing the bathroom does not just stop at the potty either. If the door is not shut all the way and you step into the shower do not be surprised when a little girl joins you with all her clothes on. Because it does not bother her to be wet and in PJ's or not!

Friends once more

This morning Matthew went to the freezer and grabbed 3 waffles. Yes frozen. My kids were never said to be normal. He took 2 for himself and then brought Mini one too so they could sit and watch a TV show together.

Dora solves another battle! How can you not be friends with someone who loves Dora as much as you!

Matthew gets a black eye

Matthew got a black cheek bone today. Why you may ask? I mean with him it could be anything. Jumping off the couch the bed and stairs. Is this how he got the bruise though? Nope his baby sister gave it to him! How could such a sweet thing there give it to him? Oh the temper on this sweet thig who smiles for anyone!

She tripped on Matthew's fot fell over stood up and swung with all her might with her tippy cup right up side the head! Poor boy is in for it if he ever pisses off this one!!

playing with new toys

they kids got toys and more toys for Christmas as always! A few of the favorites are the race track and a remote for the TV for Mini. The fights we have had over these 2 toys already! But when they are happy they are really happy with them!

Merry Christmas

I wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and let you all know I got the letter wrote and the cards all ready so now I can mail them out this week! So presents and cards will be late but they are coming!!

Christmas Morning

Matthew got a skill saw from Maria and a chain saw! OMG funny! He was opening gifts with his chain saw!!

Stephen and Samantha got books. Nancy, Stephen loved his new ones! Samantha loves hers too they are reading already this morning and asking if they can bring them to Laura's today to read in the car! I am so lucky to have kids who love to read and go to school!!

Maria when Matthew cuts my house in half I am coming to live with you!

Christmas morning Matthew

Matthew got binoculars, which he says he is hunting bear with them! Of course hunting!

He got a new dora blanket which he loves and is his favorite of course! And Stephen and him were looking in their stockings from Santa.

Stephen got a science thing where he has to look for shark teeth in the sand. he is all excited to try this out.

Matthew got Dora stickers for his papers he likes to draw! That Santa is mighty nice!

He must have come early as the kids were up early. It almost killed them waiting for Mini to wake up!

Ernie comes home!

Ernie came back for a visit!! The kids got to stay up late and play with Ernie! It was all fun and games until Ernie tickled Samantha till she threw up! Dennis did not find that so funny!

The kids of course ran down at 8am to wake Ernie up in the morning and had to jump on him till he got up. Poor Ernie had stayed up with Dennis till 3:30am and then got woke up early to yet by the kids. But he lived and they had so much fun visiting and playing with Ernie! Thanks for the visit Ernie!

great news for Mini!

Yep we got the very best news on Mini today!! No surgery!! We are soo happy! And looking forward to a peaceful Christmas thankful to know Rose will not be looking at surgery for the new year!

Oh and Maria called and baby is here safe and sound! Today is a good day! Thank God for making sucha great day today!

doing crafts

I am working on towels the last few days. And getting them done for Lisa my sister. The unicorns are for her! The machine is working great and I am having a blast working on it.


Here is a 5x7 Eagle I need to frame it up yet but it turned out so nice I had to put it on here! Dennis is even fond of him.

Mini today

Here is miss Mini all smiles with Daddy! How can anyone say to no to that smile?!

Mini turns one!

Here are pictures of Mini on her real birthday. She was soo cute and cuddly! Thank goodness as Mommy needed some time with her baby! It is so strange to look back 1 year later and see all the changes that happen so very fast. Last year we were welcoming a new baby girl into our family. And she was so tiny and small. Now she is a little spit fire little toddler who loves to squeal with laughter and yell to get your attention.

She went to the ped the next day and got 2 shots. Which went fine and she did not even cry or flinch she just looked at the nurses and you could just see her thoughts in her eyes. Saying you are so very mean to me!

She went to Children's today for a 3-D CT scan of her head. They want to check to be sure her soft spot did not close too early. If it did we will be looking at surgery for her. The results will not be in till next week so pray it is all good news. But it is fine and she is doing good I promise you that Maria!

Rose is 29 inches tall and 21 pounds on the nose! She loves to run and has learned her new favorite thing is ginger snaps. Dennis got home form his business trip in time to meet me part way to Children's so he got to be there. He feel horrible for her and bought her a stuffed bear to make up for it I guess. I will get a picture of her with it later. She is in bed sleeping now.

So I am off too. Mom is here and is spending the night.

Mini and Matthew dance

Mini and Matthew at any sign of music dance. And this day Matthew thought he would try to dance with Mini! So funny as she would run away trying to be alone. As if you hold hands you can not make your little butt bop away with the music. Tobu Kieth gets the kids just a jumping around here.

building a gingerbread house

Here we are building the house. The kids did all the decorating. Mommy just made the building stand up.

Here is the house! It turned out so nice! And they of course want to know when they can start eating it! We figured they could wait a bit so it can be here for Christmas. I will be happy if it makes it to next week! I have seen a few sneaking in there to try to get a piece off. It is so funny to watch Matthew sneak up to it as he is so loud trying to sneak!

Dennis and Mini at work

Mini helps Daddy work. He should so know better then to try to work with her by him. But she is such a good helper. She can give great lectures on what he should be doing and what he is not doing!

Hardware on cabinets

Finally after 5 1/2 year
s here in the house we found and bought the hardware we liked for the cubbards. And I must say we should have done this 5 years ago! It is so nice having handles to get into the cubbards!

Messy girl

Mini has found that she loves and I mean loves red vines!!
But oh are they a mess! And this is only with a small piece! No full pieces for her for awhile yet!

Mini on the phone

Well Mini has got into talking on the phone. Well she likes to hold it and as long as no one answers back she talks away to the phone but on the real phone she looks at it and will not say anything! Silly thing! But if she has no phone to hold she just puts her hand up there and chats to it. It is soo funny!

Such a girl! The phone goes with you wherever you go don't you know! Someone may just call her!

a visit to Santa

A visit to Cabela's was a surprise but when we got there Santa was there too!! So of course the kids had to go visit!

Samantha wanted my little pony
Matthew wanted a bigger gun to hunt with Daddy deer hunting (imagine that!)
And Rose who knows as long as she has food she could care less about anything!

But a nice trip to Cabela's to check out the fish and animals is always fun!!
