I do not know where to start

I really know not what to write tonight. The day has been so up and down.

It started with the kids getting all ready for school. And they went to the bus stop and waiting to get on. I thought they were off to school but soon Stephen came running in to tell me there was an accident. I thought They were on the bus already and they were in the accident as Samantha did not come with him. But it happened the stop before ours. So the kids are fine. Upset as one of Stephen's friends was on the bus and got hurt. He will be fine just a cut and a few kids hit their heads on the windows, but thank God all the kids will be fine.

The bus driver pulled out in front of a car and got hit in the rear. Then hit the stop sign and then another car caught it and it almost fliped but settled back onto its 4 wheels. This all coming from my 2 kids who are upset. And I am sure this will be the topic of dinner for many days to come.

Then Mini it seems caught the uproar bug and while I did my 6 loads of laundry today she got into everything everytime I turned around. So we put toys in the toilet and played with them in there, we took an ink pen and wrote all over her legs and feet, and then since that was not enough she took said ink pen and wrote all over the LCD monitor at Samantha's computer. To say Dennis was mad at me is an understatment but he didget the ink off without ruining the monitor.

I have learned to to stretch myself so thin. As I was not only doing the laundry but I was folding and hanging and baking 3 batches of coookies for the boy scouts tonight. And I made 2 sweatshirts today inbetween folding and hanging and cooling cookies and putting them on the trays.

It was too much for my Mini. Who then took a nap and was the sweetest thing. And gave love to us all. And how can you be mad at a little one that stinking cute.

Tonight I had my first live night waitressing again. It had been awhile but it went good. And tomorrow night I start bowling again. It is our first night of league bowling.

So I am thankful for my children's saftey and that of their friends tonight. And they are all tucked nice and tight in their beds tonight with an extra hug and kiss.

My shirts

Ok without saying who is getting anything here is what I have been busy on the last few days. I must say if I do not do laundry tomorrow my kids may not have socks to wear, or pants for that matter. So I guess I best get busy with that in the morning in hopes I can do another shirt in the evening. I also have plans to make cookies tomorrow or Thursday. So it will all get done I am not sure exactly how right now but I will get it there slowly but surely. I only have 6 more things to make before Christmas. But no more have to be shipped out so that is good. As I am not sure I trust the post man to get htings where they belong in time for Christmas anymore.

see what I put up with

I just want all of you who get shirts this year to know what I put up with each day I make these. I am working all nice then comes Denis and that is his foot you see in my face! I hope you all enjoy your shirts but know I had to deal with this husband of mine to make them all for you!

who is under there

Oh it is my Matthew! He was outside playing and even though he was frozen did not want to come tell me he was cold. So we stripped him down as he of course was soaking wet. And wrapped him in warm quilts and made him hot chocolate and then he got all bundled up and headed back out of course. But not before I tricked him into a nap!

We ran into the man again!

I know you can not believe it but we ran into Santa again! We were driving down main street Elk River and there he was! So of course we stopped but not to wait in a line that was a 45 minute wait but we did go pet his reindeer! Yes his reindeer even came along to visit this time.

The kids of course loved him and we had some sad faces but we had to go as we were on our way to meet people when we saw the reindeer. But we will have our anual trip to see him soon I know as it is almost time for my dreaded trip to a mall to see him. Though last year we saw him at Cabelas maybe I could go there see fish and look at the fishing stuff all in one trip?!

2 year well check

Yep she is 2 and she had to go visit the doctor. So off we wnet today. She got 1 shot only. It is for stomache bug they get. So she is done till she goes to kindergarten.

I also found out why she has been having a hard time sleeping at night. Mini has cut 1 molar and 2 more are almost in and another is seen. Oppps bad Mommy!

She is 35 inches tall and weighes in at 27 pounds. It is strange to think that in just 2 short years she has grown 15 inches and gained 20 1/2 lbs! Her head has also grown 5 1/2 inches from when she was born! So yes our baby is getting bigger and getting bigger fast!

Her little Denver thing we had to take says she is at 2 years 10 months so I am thinking she is just fine and is going to do things at a fast pace. We all knew that already though.

So that is how Mini is doing. She did not cry for her shot or her finger prick she just gave the nurse a dirty look. And then Matthew yelled at her for being mean to his sister. And now is telling anyone who dares to look at her you better be nice to my sister. So I am thinking she will be fine once she enters school for if she does not knock a kids on their butt for being a bully Matthew will. Oh yea it will most likely be my little princess doing the knocking down in the first place! LOL

More shirts

I do have more shirts done and wrapped. But as people who read this blog would see them if I told you who they belong to I must wait.

Tomorrow I will put up new pictures of the kids though. SO until then I am off to bed as it is late. I did 2 shirts up tonight. I am getting to the end of my list. I just have lots of wrapping to do now to be ready for Christmas morning.

Though this week is getting ready for our little party Saturday for Mini and Amari. A day with family and a day to celebrate the life of 2 amazing little kids. One I get to call mine and one is my little buddy Amari.

Mini goes for her 2 year well check in the morning. I will post an update on her tomorrow to. I am thinking she gets a few shots so she iwll not be all that happy I am sure.

2 years in review

It took me longer then I said to get this up as Dennis broke my computer. Not his just mine but I have all this set on mine. It was 2 years ago that a little girl came into our family. She blessed us in so many ways. And who knew life would get so very much better with a little spit fire of a girl trying to run her family around in circles! And run us she did. The day she came home from the hospital the new roof started getting put on. Matthew fell in love and became so possive of his sister even Samantha and Stephen had to go through him to look at her much less touch her!
Samantha was so pleased with me that I gave her a baby sister. As another baby brother was not onher agenda.

2 years has borught so very much change to our baby girl. From a sweet smelling blob of a girl to a rowdy and beautiful little princess. One who knows way more words then a 2 year old should. One who figured out I wrapped a Dora shirt in her birthday gift. So therefore made sure she stepped on it so she could open it early as the wrapping just happens to fall off.

How in 2 short years she has come so far! She even has hair now! Has had a real hair cut not once but twice. Well only once in the back. But she is growing up. She goes potty more and more on a potty not on my floor. Though we will be peeing on the floor for awhile yet since Mom is just not ready to put the effort into right this moment.

So as she becomes a real toddler now and I am guessing she has no intentions of slowing down for her Mom to get used to the idea Dennis and I are moving onto a whole new ballgame with our kids. As 2007 comes to a close so does our life with a tiny baby in our home as Mini is not a baby as she will tell you. She is a big girl who is 1! (She refuses to admit to 2 yet!) We will have to work on that. So dear sweet baby Happy Birthday to you and I hope you know how very loved you are by so very many people! Slow down to smell the flowers though so Mommy can catch up with you. As your are growing much to fast for me.

I did mail out 2 boxes today. And I hope to get another few shipped in the next day or two. I also got about half the Christmas cards out today. So I am not soing too bad.

I plan to start my birthday post to Mini tonight to. Dennis is off working late so I will have some time.

Mini got a new hair cut

Yes we cut off the back by 2 inches. I had not posted a pictures because for a few days now I have been so sad as her curls were mostly gone. But today after her shower her curls have started to return. I am so happy that the ringlets are not gone as of yet. But she looks so grown up now that her hair is all looking like we styled it that way rather then side being short back long. Now she has a cute little bob that will grow out together.

what I do all day

Yes most of my day revolves around Mini going potty and trying to time it when Matthew does not have to go at the same time. Sometimes that does not work out so well.

I was getting ready yesterday to write a post about how great Mini was doing potty training. She refused her undies or her feel n learns. She wanted a diaper I told her no they were for night time only. She then decided to wear nothing. But she did great. She told me each time she had to pee. The she said she had to poop. Well she peed but no poop. But guess what I found the poop in my toy room! So on went a pull up. But then she only knows she has to pee as she starts.

I know just take them away we will learn. But oh how unready for potty training I am. It is that I am lazy you know. I fully admit this. And really why waste diapers?

So we procrastinate a bit more. And hope for no more poop on the floor!

Oh descions!

Oh the choices to make! Mini first ate her frosting. The found Matthew's cupcake. Then she had both and then you have to decide which do you take a bite out of next!

Tia turned 36!

My firned Tia turned 36 on Saturday. So after the craft fair we went out to dinner with her and Kent. Now mind you the pictures of Dennis were all because he found an empty box on the floor! And no he had no beer! He is a silly silly man!

Tia's kids picked out a cupcake cake and I thought it was so neat! Sometimes she gets blue clues or whatever the kids are in a mood for but this year it was a candy cane cupcake cake.

We had a really good time out on Saturday night and on the drive home got to throwing pillows at each other. I am sure the babysitter thought us all nuts when we got home. Then we played the wii for a few hours to finish off the night. So a late night but it was so very much fun to go out and not worry about the kids.

The kids

Stephen and Samantha stood still for me and everything and even smiled for you all! I hope you feel the blessing from here as it may not happen again for awhile.

still sewing

Yep I am still busy and still sewing. Christmas is coming up fast and I am still sewing away on the machine. I also made this window seat cusion for a friend. I had never made one but it came out really nice. Now to make her a set of pillows to match! I am not starting that till after Christmas unless I get all my sewing down. I sewed names on stockings today and a headband for Tia's kids. And I want to get a sweatshirt down today yet to.

I need to go to the post office and ship two boxes off. So after naps are done I plan on doing that. Maria I looked for your college logo could not find it. If you have a copy of one will you please e-mail it me.

I do have pictures of kids for you all so I will do those posts next. Even some of Stephen and Samantha!

so very busy

You know I keep thinking life will slow down here. It never does. I do not know when it will either. I do know I am looking forward to Christmas break with the kids. Letting them do nothing but be and have fun. I do not remember so much homework while in elementery school. But Stephen has hours of homework a night. At least 3rd grade is not so bad. We just have read and spelling each night plus a night of math thrown in there and one other homework sheet a week.

Stephen on the other hand has math each night. And hard math. I made 3 mistakes trying to figure it out last night. And spelling and reading. He also gets math packets home once week and spelling packets too. So we decided to move his bedtime back an hour so he can have that hour just to play and be a kid. Since I am not fighting him to get up each morning I guess he can have an hour of freedom at night to just relax.

He is of course loving it. Matthew is sad and I know Samantha is trying to think how she can get away with it to. Though I still have to go get her up each moring and get her going so it will not be anytime soon.

So all the homework is making us all work hard and throw potty training in there. I am thinking just taking away diapers all together is the best plan. But I am not ready for that yet. I did that with the other 3 though to at some point and it works. So when the diapers are gone I will just not be buying more. As I know she can do this and she does better in undies then in her diapers. So give me a few weeks to build my courage and I will jump into potty training full force. But it is cold outside and it is winter and there is snow on the gorund. Christmas is coming so now is not the ideal time.

(can anyone say stalling!)

off to bed with me as I am really tired tonight and I need to get started on Christmas cards one of these nights.

Look who we met today!

So we went out to Target this morning to see if I could find a Dora ornament for Mini. Which by the way I did and the world is a better place for this wonderful feat I did! And we met Santa shopping there to! Matthew being the big brother who is much braver walked Mini up to Santa and they got hugs and a pictures with him!

outside trees

Dennis and the kids got them all pretty a few weekends ago and they are so nice to watch outside. So now all the decorations are up and we wait for the big day to arrive. The kids are counting down the hours much less days.

Yes you saw right

Yes in the pictures of the tree you see Mini in undies. She has been wearing undies at home. Not when we go out yet but she does wear them at home. And yesterday she even told us she wanted to go potty all by herself! Today she is back in undies and I guess we will see how it goes. I take it one day at a time and I am sure it will click soon.

decorating the tree

Yesterday the lights came for the tree. Yes our tree lights were just ordered and arrived so we got to put up our tree. The kids just love this night. They wait for it each year and bounce off the wall when the night finally arrives. They get to put up their ornaments from years past. They love to tell each other the story that goes with each. They get all worked up remembering each one. It gets loud here and funny as they talk over each other.

So the tree is all pretty and I took pictures of the kids in front of it. You will have to wait to see those as the best one is on the christmas cards I picke dup this morning.

snow means one thing! Sledding!

Yep we got to go sledding on Sunday! The kids love to go out in the snow and sled. Mini not so much so! She went down one time got her hand in the snow cried and wanted in the car! So we sat there while the kids went up and down for the next 40 minutes. But she was happy to watch but had no desire to go back out in it. Matthew did not want to com ein till he was so tired he could not walk back up the hill. Then it was time to come home and warm up.
