Dennis' shirt

When Dennis went to visit Microsoft when they did the kick off for Vista they gave him a shirt! It is soo Dennis I had to show it to you all!

Rose was looking so cute yesterday I had to take a picture of her in a nice spring dress. it has been so nice out we get to be outside more now and she doe snot need a winter coat on any more!

Cake Auction

Yes it is that time of year again where we make a cake for the boy scouts and then get judged on it. Then it is auctioned off to raise money for our boys. Stephen picked a train this year! Thank goodness it was an easy cake this year!! Some of his have been really hard to make!
But lest you think I made a great cake I want to show you another form the night! This fish bowl I fell in love with. There were so many neat cake this year all home made! We raised $685 for our boys and everyone had a great time and that is what the nigth is all about!
This here is our Pack Master Chris and our auctioneer Leroy! Leroy has been doing our auction forever and loves coming to do it for our boys! And thanks to him our kids have all heard a real auctioneer and love every minute of it!

And yes even a picture of me as I was committee chair this year. And since i was I got to do lots of talking in front this year. And filling in all the awards for the boys. So here I am handing out awards. And yes Stephen did win an award again this year for his cake! It made his night and he got his patch which will go in the quilt I am making of all his boy scout patches!

No new adventure for now

The offer Dennis got did not include anything for moving. We had agreed we would only do this if they helped move us cross country as it is just to expensive. So we are staying right here in our little world. Safe sound and happy.

Not so happy

Mini was playng with Austin. And I do not know why but this day was a hard one. Well I do know why she was just getting over being sick and she ended up throwing up again about an hour later then this. But her and Austin normally play so nice together but anytime he came over by her she did this!

a new adventure?

Many of you know Dennis flew out to Portland last weekend. He flew out Friday morning and had an interview with a company. And then he spent time with his Dad and Grandma, Aunt and Uncle and his Sister Andrea and her family.

Well Monday Dennis was given an offer from the company. now mind you all we have not seen it in writing so we are saying nothing yet. So take deep breaths here. And I do not know what we will decide anyway on the job. In the next week or so we will have to decide if this is the right step for our family. So if you could all say a prayer that we are able to wade through this we would really be thankful.

I know family in Oregon is all excited about the thought of the move. And family here not so much so. But this is a hard choice for us too as it would mean pulling kids from school and starting over. I know the kids would adjust though and love the adventure. They are if nothing else good lovers of adventure!

So I will keep you all up to date as we find out more. As I know not a lot right now.

Sick Mini

Mini got sick Sat night and was happy to see her Daddy return Sunday. He cut her finger nails as I still can not cut a childs finger nails. Also notice the socks on her feet! they do not match there is a reason for this. When Dennis wa sin Portland Aunt Andrea gave Mini socks and they are called Mismatch socks they are meant to be different colors.

those that know me this is driving me nuts! But they are the cutest socks I have seen in a long time! Thanks Aunty Andrea!

Mini is feeling much better today and is drinking fluid again. Though not eating yet and has the poops but her color is looking better now and she is sure happy again!

The girl loves her some of those pretzels!! She even figured out how to get the cover off so she get at them when she wants them! They sure make her happy though!

Stephen

Stephen is busy with homework but we do not get him sitting still often to get a picture. I figured everyone would like to see the older kids once in awhile too as they are busy with us all the time.

Mini eats

Yes my Mini is growing more everyday. We gave away our high chair and we got her a booster for the table. She does not use the tray now. She just pulls up to the table with us. And she found left over muffin sitting at Matthew's spot and instead of getting her fingers dirty she just used her face!! This girl!! I tell you is a silly thing!

Sharing time on the computer. It is not a favorite time around here. But the 2 little ones sure were being good the other night.

Matthew in a basket

yep here is that basket again. I am sure there were things in this basket but they seem to get empty and then there is a child in the basket just playing away. He played for 2 hours in here. So it is a good toy! Though the new trick is breaking off the little whicker sticks.

So we had to put a stop to that right away! As the basket must stay together I do need it.

Sick Mini

She is fine but is on a nebulizer as this cold she has is causing her to wheeze without playing but when she gets to running like she is always doing she coughs and has a hard time catching her breath. (Dad does this remind you of anyone?) Oh sorry Mom I know you do not have a cough! Anyway of course I took a picture of her with her Daddy getting her treatment. It makes her feel so much better she falls asleep during the treatment and sleep away for awhile.

I am just glad it makes her feel better. And this morning she sounds great compared to yesterday! The cold is viral so it should clear up soon. So no worries the baby is fine just making life interesting is all!

My computer is sick

So I guess that means no new pictures for you all! Dennis tried fixing it last ngiht and it got worse. I hope the bug it has does not kill it. But right now it is not pretty.

I had a virus and now it is gone but my computer is being dumb and it will not let me download photos off the camera. So for now only my words to make you all happy. Which is what I know you were all reading the blog for anyway!

So I will update you all on what is happening without the photos and when I can I will add them in.

getting so big

Well Rose is getting ever bigger and she likes to sit at the table with us. Though we still try to get her in the highchair for meal times. But a booster seat is in our future I see it coming soon. But she likes our forks and spoons rather then hers so we have started giving her big forks. I can not believe how far she has come. Not saying much of the food she trys to eat with a fork goes in her mouth. Look at the front of her shirt! But when she is hungry she eats with her hands first then the fork to practice.

witch or cleaning lady?

Not sure what she is some days but she likes to steal my broom and drag it where ever she may go. Sometimes I think she is trying to clean my house for me others I think she tries to ride the dang hting! So watch out on Halloween!

the final snow pictures

Well I am finally uploading the last pictures from teh storm last week. These were taken as the last of the snow was falling. This is the path that Dennis made so we can get to the garbage. But it shows how deep it is.

This is out electric box. It is burried. The kids found it fun to climb on it and jump off into the snow. I wonder where they got that idea from?

This is the view from the front of our house. There are bushes under that snow.


Then the boys having a great time out in the snow. They used the snow on the side of our driveway to sled down. Yea not a big hill. They also used the hills the plows made to sled down and build a fort into. They have dug for days on that fort.

Well it was not a fluke! she is getting curls in the back of her head and they are growing!!

talk about casual friday

The kids found the boxes that are empty form cookies and they are having a good time playing with them. And Dennis, Dennis is still working away here at home. Though notice the same shirt as yesterday! Shower is needed there man! So he will have to take a break after lunch to sqeeze in a shower. And then he said he will be doen for the sday as he worked till almost 11 last night. Microsoft had called at about 5 and they just kept talking till the cordless went dead and they just switched phones to a different cordless and went on talking.

Not that it got fixed but hey they got a lot of talking in. So he is back at trying to get it working this morning but this afternoon is ours to go out and play! We are having the neighbors over for supper since none of us can get otu today we iwll have them here instead to gather and enjoy some fun and games.

Dennis tries to help the trees

I was concerned with the ehavy snow on my pine trees it was hurting the branches so Dennis braved the deep snow and used a broom to knock it off. But notice the snow is well over his boots. Poor guy gets sent out to freeze to death by the whife! Though he got to plow another foot off the driveway this morning he loved that!

The swing set is so funny to watch as we can see how deep the snow is now as the one has a spinny thing on it but it is all gone now. Matthew is not sure it will come back he thinks the earth swalled it up and it is gone. So we had a sad boy here this morning. he is not sure he likes all the snow on the deck either. So I may just have to go out and shovel it off so he can see it is fine under there.

Let it snow let it snow let it snow

Well here are some shots of this morning when we woke up. If you look at the earlier one from thur afternoon you can see the difference in our deck overnight. It is still snowing so who knows what our count will end up being. But Mini can not go out as from the picture of her by the door you can see it would be over her head. And that is not the deepest part of snow.

Dennis and his toy

Well these are pictures outside from right now. This is the 4th time Dennis has done the drive way. Why no one knows really. As we did go out once we left for a few hours and came home to 4 more inches and now he is out doing it again. It is still coming down. Since last night we have had a foot now and it is really coming down now so before bed I am sure he will do it again.

He is just having way too much fun running that thing. he would not let me touch it to do the drivway once. I was going to shovel and he jumped up and ran to get his things on so he could run the snow blower. So I shoveled the side walk and steps and he did the driveway. He is a silly man! But I am so very thankful he loves to do it then I do not have to worry about being able to get out.

I would say there will be no school to morrow which the kids are bummed as it is school carnival day! But they get to play outside all day and they can not stay bummed to long with the thought of a snow day and fun. Though we did our homework already so in case they do send them we are ready.

Here they are home from school and right out the door. They have been out there for over an hour just playing away in all the snow. They have dug at the snow and are digging forts in it. Sure takes me back to being young and out in the snow all day with snow forts.
