Dennis and his toy

Well these are pictures outside from right now. This is the 4th time Dennis has done the drive way. Why no one knows really. As we did go out once we left for a few hours and came home to 4 more inches and now he is out doing it again. It is still coming down. Since last night we have had a foot now and it is really coming down now so before bed I am sure he will do it again.

He is just having way too much fun running that thing. he would not let me touch it to do the drivway once. I was going to shovel and he jumped up and ran to get his things on so he could run the snow blower. So I shoveled the side walk and steps and he did the driveway. He is a silly man! But I am so very thankful he loves to do it then I do not have to worry about being able to get out.

I would say there will be no school to morrow which the kids are bummed as it is school carnival day! But they get to play outside all day and they can not stay bummed to long with the thought of a snow day and fun. Though we did our homework already so in case they do send them we are ready.

Here they are home from school and right out the door. They have been out there for over an hour just playing away in all the snow. They have dug at the snow and are digging forts in it. Sure takes me back to being young and out in the snow all day with snow forts.

Dennis hard at work

Since we knew the storm was coming in and Dnenis has the option he worked form home yesterday and today and will again tomorrow.

He seems to have the phone on his ear al day and is typing e-mails all day. But in the comfprt of his chair. The kids and I try to stay in the basement or in the toy room where we can let him work. His boss even sent out an e-mail yesterday telling everyone to work form home as he did not want anyone on the roads. Got to love snow days!

how much snow?

Last Sat we got 12 inches of snow here in Elk River. Well last night we got another 3 and we are told to expect another 13-17 more inches before tomorrow afternoon. So the kids went to school this morning, but got released at 12:30 as the snow is coming fats and hard now.

We have got another 3 or 4 inches since this morning. Dennis has cleaned the driveway 2 times already today and it is in need of it again. But we will wait for he can start up the snowblower again! Got to get his time in with it you know!

Mini and grandma

While we were hanging out at the house before going out for Grandma's birthday Mini and her had a little sit down to visit. So very cute! Two Rose's just hanging out together and just happy to be.

getting bigger

So granted she is standing on her little bench but she loves to be able to see in the mirror. And now she has figured out that everyone brushes their hair so she does her own too. Though I must say I am not letting her touch my hair anytime soon! As she hits herself so hard on the head you can hear it thumb on her head each brush stroke she makes!

Mini and M&M's

Yes unlike Matthew who fell in love with the

skittles little miss Mini is in love with m&m's! And will do a great many things for them. So at least when PaPa comes home from AZ he can eat her treats too.

But these were bad m&m's and no one but Mini will try them as they are dark chocolate! She loves them everyone else is staying far away from them!

Mini the coder

When the boys Pat and Dennis were in college and they got to coding they always had their hoods up. Why no one knows really. But when Mini got her hood put up it reminded me of college days of the boys hiding in the office not talking just typing.

cookies are in

Well the first order of cookies are in. So you can expect a visit from Miss Samantha with your cookies soon if you have not already.

If you would still like some we have 2 reoders coming up the last being march 11th. So if you need more just give us a call.

Also if you do not want the cookies you can do what is called cookie share where the boxes you pay for are sent to the troops over seas. It is a nice program that the Girl Scouts started a few years ago and seems to be going really well.

Well I got Matthew to smile for you all but Stephen was not pleased to be getting a picture taken once more. And you know the game was going and I was supposed to be making food.

Samantha

Samantha was writing spelling words and I figured we could get a picture of her face for you all once. Since she is brushing her own hair once more she is growing it out longer again. Though I noticed it gets this long then stops growing for a long time so we will see how long she is willing to wait to grow it out for lock of love.

What happened to her lips?

You may be wondering what is up? Well at the boy scout family night Stephen won these lips. They make noise when you blow out of them. Well Mini did not know that but loved the look I guess. Well then she figured out you breath in and out and it makes noise. So i think they maybe prenamently attached to her face now!

Mini being a snake hunter

Yes with Matthew for a brother it was bound to happen. She loves to play hunting snakes and notice she got a croc too! What will I do with my little ones who love animals I so do not! That Jeff Corwin is good for them I guess!

practice for testing

Yep April will bring the school testing and Stephen is old enough to need to do this. So each Wednesday we get a different packet home for us to work on to practice taking timed tests. I just ope he does not get all stressed over the tests as he knows they are important.

Valentines candy

Maria notice the bangs are cut! And notice my daiseys Matthew picked them out for me then promptly gave them to Dennis when we got home.

Also their cards came int he mail yesterday and they love them!

Mini and the track

Here is Mini and Matthew's race track it continues to be a favorite here at the house. Mini loves that she can make the cars go. Though she is not the best at it they go. She does not get that if you shake them longer they go longer. She gets them going then stops shaking them.

Miss Samantha reading

Yes another post of her reading though this time she is awake behind the book. She has been reading this book each day for almost a week now. It is one of Stephen's but she loves it. Noticeher coat is under her. They do 30 minutes of reading each day after school. She did not even get her coat hung up before she went off to read her 30 minutes.

I am glad the kids are finding books they love to read.

Matthew and his magic word

Matthew has got it down to an art form. You ask for something then you say please and you get the biggest smile on your face. And you happen to be so dang cute you know Mom and Dad have to say yes to you.

what is this that is happening to little ones hair?! Could it be one of my kids will not have stick straight hair? Could it be I may get little curls?

It is just the back that is curling but it is sure cute!

Mini today

Here is Miss Mini in her Valentine outfit! She even had on her little black shoes! She loved to look at them so getting her to look up for a pictures took work!

Happy Valentines Day!

I hope today brings you all a wonderful day where you know you are loved! Tonight we are doing our traditonal dinner for Valentines day and going to Burger King for supper. Then it will be off to bowling for me.

Busy tuesday

Yep Tuesdays are ever busy in our house. Since we have boy scouts each weeks. And once a month I have my meeting at the Church too. We decorated cookies for the people in the senior home. And then we got to bring one home for each of our kids. (Notice one missing Matthew ate his as soon as he got up this morning!) Can not be waiting I say!

But they must be good as Matthew said they were Awsome! And Stephen has agreed now too. I di dnot bake them though they got them from the store we just decorated them.

Last weekend

Last weekend we went to Grand Rio's water park and hotel with the girl scouts. I saw so many people we knew. My brother Jim and his wife Kay and their son Dominic were there. And only 4 rooms down too! So the kids had a blast playing with him! And we got to have breakfast with them the next morning too!

My cousin Connie and her husband Jeff and their 6 kids were there too! So much fun was had by all! Of course the camera got left at home!

Mini and the gameboy

Yes I seem to be doing a lot of posting on a baby girl who thinks she is much much older then 1! To think she is 13 1/2 months old! But she sure acts like she is 3 right with that Matthew! He best look out or she will pass him right up! Stephen had left his game out so of course she climbed right in that chair and started playing! Nothing is safe around her!

Julie gave Matthew a game for his computer called Animal adventures! You guessed it he loves it! Of course if he loves it Samantha and Stephen have to get in on the action too you know!

Chilling out

Yep she got the cover off the animal crackers! And took it and climbed into a chair and laid back for a good feed! No wonder she was not hungery for dinner!

Writing a book

I don't know what she thinks or writes about but Mini loves to write and tell you all about it! Stephen got to sit and listen to her. She would just wave her hand at him if she felt he was not listen good enough to her!

Talk about a work out

Dennis works out on his machine but when Mini sees him he has to hold her too just like when she was a baby.

Of course then Matthew needs to join him too! Poor guy. Talk about working out just add over 20 lbs of weight to the run. And he still goes for an hour!

Here they are 10 months ago same thing! No wonder she loves to run with her daddy!

Mini and her baby

Mini got a baby for Christmas and she loves her baby doll. She will go find her bottles for it and feed her. She also knows to push on its tummy to make it say I love you and give kisses. Then she kisses her baby back.

Yes her baby seems to like to eat from her nose sometimes from her eyes. Not the best aim but she trys.
