all wrapped up

Here are Matthew and Mini Rose all wrapped up in the towels I had made them. Rose is not happy as they had just got out of the shower with me.

Stephen has Tournament

Stephen's team was invited to play in a tournament last weekend. So he had 2 games Sat and 1 on Sunday. It was a busy weekend but he had a blast!! They played against the traveling teams. They lost by 1 both games Sat and tied on Sunday.

Considering this team some of the boys only met each other that day we were very proud of them!

Rose turns 5 months

Yes could it be? She is 5 months now!! She is such a happy baby and loves to laugh for us! She does so good getting drug everywhere we go. Soccer, swimming, and school functions don't bother her at all.

She is working on her bottom teeth. She is is chewing on everything she can get her hands on.

Samantha plays soccer

Well here she is in all her soccer glory!! It was raining on us and we were freezing but hey our hair must be ok out there! This is warm ups yet.

And here she is running and actually playing! Though someone could have told me it is a for sure thing if you have a game that day even if it was 70 earlier it will get cold windy and rain on you for the game! Who would want to play this game?! An indoor sport that is always warm and dry works for me!

But more on the raining weather later when we come to this weekends tournament that Stephen got invited to play in.

I am sleeping

Just for Maria here it is. How Mini feels the need to sleep. She had woke up but by time I got in there she had found her blanket and cuddled under it to go back to sleep.

She loves this blanket and has one for her car seat too that she rubs her face on and sleeps.

Polka Dot girl

Oh so tired!
This Rose over a month ago but I love her outfit in it. And since someday it will get warm here and she may not get to wear it much more I wanted a picture of it. She is my little polka dot girl!

Lisa and Samantha's birthday surprise

Lisa turned 40 in March and since she came to help us out here with the tile we wated to do something special for her. So we decided to celebrate Samantha's 7th birthday after Stephen's First Communion since everyone would be there already. And just throw in a surprise for Lisa for her 40th!!

It was so much fun! In the middle of Happy Birthday we sang to her and Samantha and she had no clue! It made for an awsome night and to see her face oh so red!



Ok I am up late enough all. Dennis left for Washington today so I am sitting up doing this but it is almost 1am now and my kids will still get up in the morning even if I am not ready to.

I will update some more tomorrow.

Stephen's First Communion

Here I am with a son going to First Communion and I do not know where the time has gone! There were 39 other kids that went at the same mass as Stephen. Fr Joe siad mass and let the kids even stand on the pews once! Let me tell you it made Stephen's day!

Here is Dennis and I with Stephen at home after mass. We had 30 people for dinner to come help celebrate with Stephen!

And then this is Grandma and Grandpa Nistler. Stephen had a good day with everyone and loved it all except the taste of the wine. He made a face for that!

Tile floors

So you know we had the wedding Saturday 29 April and we have first communion 30 April so what did we decide to do the week before? Tile of course!! I mean really why not?! My sister Lisa came from Michigan to help. Thank God for her! She worked with Dennis and they cut all the tiles and laid them. It turned out awsome too! Who knew. Reminder to myself though. Don't do a big project the week before inviting 30 people to your house! Lisa thank you so very much for all the hard work. Though you think us Alexander's are perfectionists you put up with us anyway!





So here is Dennis and Lisa working on the tiling.















And of course the finished tiles!! I love them. I picked the grout color so I guess all the Alexander's here got into the fun! It sure changed the look of the bathroom.

wedding reception

We all had a good time visiting with family as always. And the kids got to dance away! Here is Samantha and Dominic dancing








And Maria and Matthew dancing dancing dancing!! And when she stopped he just ran circles around the dance floor. I can tell you he slept great that night!

Here Maria even got him to hold still for just a minute and take a picture with her. As his godmother she needed love ya know!

How strange it was to see her get married knowing I babysat her. Knowing if she is old enough to get married what does that make me?! Yikes!! Let's not go there. So the Alexander's made it through and drove home that night tired. But we had to get ready for first communion the next day so on to the next post for the night!

Emily's wedding

Maria came for Emily's wedding from France and saved me by knowing how to play with Samantha's hair! Thank you ever so much as always Maria for coming and helping your Aunt play at being a cool Mom !


Samantha got to be flower girl for the wedding and loved being all dressed up! Here Maria is fixing her hair. Which as everyone knows is straight and Maria had to talk into being curly! Yikes came we say stay away from the flames Samantha!!






And here she is all dolled up and ready to walk down the aisle with Dominic and Abby! They all looked great! Makes a Mom all sad to know they grow so fast.



And then of course the reception! I will save the picture for the next post as all the kids had a blast dancing away!

boy scouts crossing over

Stephen crossed over to being a bear at the end of April. He recieved his Wolf badge and he received 1 gold arrow and 5 silver! I am so proud of him as he worked very hard this year.

Dennis is his den leader so I have 2 boys in uniform on Tuesday nights. It has been such a great thing for them to do together.

being lazy

Yep this is the life! Matthew and mini Rose just hanging out on the floor. Where ever she is he is too. We have been so lucky he does not get jealous of her. But we do have issues with him not wanting to share her even with Stephen and Samantha!



He will yeall at the kids no touching her or no talking to her. So we are working on it. He still claims she is his baby. I am just happy he loves her.

Soccer

Kids had soccer last night. It was the first game! They had a blast. I only got pictures from Stephen's game as I forgot the camera for Samantha's game. I wil post some from her's next Thur. It was cold and miserable out there. It was in the 40's only with the cold winds blowing! Who wanted to do this again?

And this is Dennis freezing till I gave him a sweatshirt at least to wear. He is helping coach Stephen's team.
