Nancy and Larry's quilt

These are some shots I got of the quilt. I meant to get more. But you know things happen and pictures do not get taken. It is amazing how many form emboirdery I forget to get before they go out the door. 66 blocks are embroidered. 66 blocks are just a print material. I love it and they loved it. And I am glad I am done with it.

Making a quilt

Linda took pity on me and came to help sew the blocks together once I had them embroidered. Well I was still sewing in my office for awhile after she started. But 66 blocks got done. And Linda sewed them together. Tia came over and ironed out each black. And then Wednesday we went to the farm and quilted it. And I hemmed it Thur, Fri and Sat. Yes even the day of the party I was hemming that quilt. I hemmed while I worked on the jackets I am embroidering. It is a double project so that is good.

Mini was not impressed that we were sewing. She just made a nest and crawled in my office and went to sleep. I do not know how her neck can do that but it does.

Twitch was not impressed either. So he brushed his teeth. Linda talked him into it not being a toy finally and he ate it.

Larry and Nancy loved the quilt and that is all I wanted. Now onto finishing the other projects on my table.

kids hats

I found some hats on clearence and rathe rthen putting names on the hats the kids picked a design. That way we knew whose hat was whose. Then Dennis needed his hat to have a design on it. Of course he picked the same one as Stephen so we had to pick a new color but it came out fine. Mine, mine is plain and no design on it.

but the kids love their hats and they wear them all the time. Including just sitting watching TV. I may have to go back and get a few more hats to have on hand.

My little sick people

Matthew looks much better today though. Though once more he is off sleeping. Mini is way better today! Her cough sounds great and is dry today rather then gunky. And she slept all night! I love sleep!

Matthew slept most of the night and he said the hic ups in his ear are gone. And thankfully it did not rupture!! Thank you God! But his cough is still really wet and gunky. His nose is stiffy and he is still really tired. I do believe he is on the mend though. So today for the first time in a long time I sat at my embroidery machine and sewed away an afternoon. It was good to get back to it.

Craft show

Yea so I stayed up till 3am the night before my craft show. Not so very smart when you are 34 and not a night owl anymore. Lisa took my picture at midnight and I looked bad then. But I got a lot of things done for the show that I wanted done. Lisa helped me price them all and get them all packed up and ready to go for the next morning. At 3 I crawled to bed and passed out for a few hours and then got up and finished another 3 towels. Then Lisa ans I went off to our show and she helped me get everything set nice and looking good!

Sewing and attitudes

So I sewed a shirt and Mini had to give attitude on it. Because I wanted her to get a picture after I took one of the shirt. She looked at me like I grew horns right out the top of my head! Somedays she demands pictures of herself and wants to see them all but manif she is in a mood no picture will do and let me say she was mad about this one! LOL

bibs and underwear

I worked on bibs for lisa this week. She had some blank ones that she had been using so she sent them home with me to put somehthing on. I sure hope she likes them as she never said what to put on them at all!

The fronts of Shorty's underwear are done but I have to put the backs on yet. I will take more pictures when i get that part done. Maybe tonight if I do not sit here all night updating this. But tomorrow I will be alone while Dennis his Dad and Bonnie go to a movie. I will have time to work on them then for sure. So one way or the other they will be done by tomorrow night so Kristie can bring some more to Shorty!

My weeks sewing

I did not add pictures of my underwear for shorty as I forgot to get a picture before I sent them off with Kristie. But I have more laying here ready to make so I will be sure to take one as I know you just can not live without seeing them. And really Kristie and I Did something cool to some of them!

Matthew's shirt was no more done then it was on him. So taking a picture had to be done on the fly! I am so glad when they love their shirts!

Least you think I got my shirt back without some bargaining I will show you a sneak peek at what I am sewing while I type! A new shirt for Matthew! Yes he calls this the flying lizard fish. And when he is done I will have full ownership of my POW MIA sweatshirt back.

Jim's patch

So this is the patch I have worked on for 3 days straight. The first picture is at 2x2. I got the patch to work right but the lettering too small. At 3x3 which I found out today is the one I need it at the first one the edges were wrong. The second one I got the edges almost right, but the white lettering on the left side is off by a few mm. But I am getting closer to getting it right. Just more time is needed. the 4x4 is just way off and I am glad that is nto the one I need to work on.

My lost sweatshirt

So I lost my favorite sweatshirt I have ever made! It just dissappeared and no ones knows to where! So I finally gave in a made me a new ones. I kept thinking it would show up but it is gone. Someone else has my other one. Matthew wanted to wear it of course as soon as it was done. But he went to bed and it is mine again!

Christmas in Aug

I made a snowman bib! I love it and it makes me smile so that is all that matters really. I needed to smile yesterday and I got to. I will be bringing my bibs and things to Paynesville Sat as I believe I will be there at a craft fair. Sheri sent me a link today so I will be calling them. Thanks Sheri!! So if you are in Paynesville Sat from 8am-2pm come visit me I will be alone!

placemats

So I had wanted to do this set of placemats forever just did not get it done. Well the other day I sat myself down and knew I would get them done. I got all 8 done but now that they are done not really sure what I will do with them. I may add a bit more to them as they still do not look finished to me. I will have to ponder it a bit more.
