Pit stop

I am here for a pit stop at home. Matthew is up at Mercy and Daddy is sitting with him so Mommy could come get a sweatshirt form home and a few things to keep him occupied for the next 24 hours or so. He was really dehydrated when we got admitted and he is doing better now that he has 2 bags of fluid in him. And he will be getting a continues drip once the second bag is pushed in as they want it in faster then the third bag will have to go in.

But he wants t come home and crys anytime it is mentioned that we are staying. I am so sad for him. So if you could all pray that he hangs out like a champ and not fighting this it would be great!

Grandma ran home to get her oxygen and then she is returning to hang out with us till tomorrow. And I am off to go back to the hospital soon as I promised Matthew I would not be gone long. I will take some new shots of him as he gets to feeling better as he is not looking all that great still as he is white and coughing up a storm. They gave him cough meds with codine but it has not seemed to help yet. But all his blood counts came out really good so we are happy with that.

I wish

I wish this was the post I was hopingt o write today. You know there is a but coming and here it is. My Mom is on her way here to sit with Mini as Matthew and I are headed in to see his ped. I called this morning as I had to listen to my son throw up most of the night. And cry that he wanted to see a doctor because his tummy hurts so bad. And he has yet to get out of bed htis morning. He just wants to lay there and watch TV.

So in 1 hour I will be making his ped do something to make my little man feel better. I want and need answers and I need them now. I can not sit here and watch him feel this bad. I was up every 15 minutes with one of the two last night. Though Mini is coughing this morning she is sounding a bit better. Not great by any means but she is not gagging as much. And she slept awful last night so I expect her to take a nice long nap for Grandma today.

Whopping Cough

Yep we went to the doctor this morning with the 2 youngest and they are both being treated for whopping cough. They are fine and no worse then yesterday but they swabbed them and since the results will not be back for a day or two they are treating them both.

I am hopful that the antibiotic will kick in well before tonight and my 2 youngest will get to feeling well enough to sleep tonight. As I could really use some sleep. But on a high note no one has thrown up since midnight last night. The doctor said to continue to neb the kids as needed and give this med and then keep Matthew on the zofran as it seems to have slowed the puking on his mommy. And really I am all for that. Mini is coughing worse today but I am so praying this antibiotic kicks this soon!

I will know for sure if this is what they have in a few days I will update as soon as I know anything. Though by then they will be better. How ironic is that!?

it is cold

And not just cold I tell you it is 41 below zero right now with the wind chill! Yea can you say I kept Mini and Matthew home from boy scouts and Samantha to for that matter. I mean Matthew and Mini had to stay home anyway as we need no more germs here. But It was to cold to send Samantha out in it either. And Stephen was in trouble so he missed tonight to. Dennis had to go all by himself. And I feel bad but Stephen got a trophy from his pinewood derby car and an award for the design of his car tonight.

But homework must be done and we must never lie to our Mother's it is the law here and he remembers it very well now. But back to it being cold. It is supposed to be just as cold tomorrow! Is this a joke this winter? No more snow since early winter, but normally it seems we only have 1 week of this really cold weather ok this is week three this Jan! I do not like 30 and 40 below in case anyone cares. Now I remember why I liked the idea of moving to a warmer state!

Ok I am over my tantrum I will get pictures of the kids tomorrow. I want them to look human again before you see them. I need to go neb them now. Maybe I will be nice and take pictures of it for you all!

we may live

After a really long night with Mini and Matthew up coughing. Matthew throwing up and Mini crying for her brother we nebbed both kids and Matthew drifted off to sleep after his dose of Zofran. Mini bounced off the walls after her neb as she was no longer coughing so hard. I think they are both coming down with croup! As Matthew sounds just horrible at night. Then during the day he is not too bad.

Today I am happy to report he ate a waffle and part of an orange and both have stayed down! Now to do all the laundry to catch up and mini has been in undies all day and we are dry. Do not ask why when they are both sick I would decide to do tis. As it is beyond me at the moment. I can not see straight I am so tired. But that too shall pass I know.

We are home

And I am so glad to be. Matthew ended up throwing up 7 times this morning before 11am. So our doctor sent us to the ER. Dennis met me there and we sat and they finally seen Matthew and told me he was sick. No kidding people! And he sounded bad as his cold was sounding gunky. Yep knew that too. I think really i should have been a doctor somedays! Except I really had no clue what was wrong with my buddy today.

So we got a perscription for zofran and he has kept down some juice now. Of course he threw up in walmart while we waited for our meds to come up. So other then a low grade fever coughing and throwing up he is home. And really I am so very glad he is. I took the night off of work to hang out here with him.

I hope tomorrow is a better day for him as he was feeling mighty bad all day. So lysol is my new best friend as is carpet cleaner! And those of you who know how hard to clean up puke wouild be proud of me for not throwing up once cleaning it up all morning. Dennis left work though when I left for the hospital and met us there. He figured he would be admitted as he seems to get that way most times he has to go get fluids. But today he bounced back just like he should!

Germs have invaded

Be glad you are not at my house today. Matthew and Mini have colds. But really a cold is a cold. Except Matthew is coughing hard enough today to throw up 3 times now. And his breathing is off so he is going to visit a doctor today. Be that his regular ped or another is to be determined yet but he is going to go in. And since he is not eating as his stomache is upset, (crossing my fingers here it is not a flu to go with the cold) he is dry heaving and throwing up the bit of water I am getting down him. So I ams crubbing carpets and trying to get him to carry the bucket if he moves. So we are watching dora and rocking a lot today. I am sure naps will follow today.

Mom I am sure this is why he wanted to come home.

Girl scout cookies

Here is a picture of all the cookies. I have been asked more then once where the picture was and thanks to Dennis I got it figured out. No I doubt he will be adding his 2 cents in here so do not hold your breath but he did help me figure out how to post a picture of the cookies.

still here

Yep I am still here still busy and I have stuff to blog about but realy It too will have to wait as today is all about hanging out with my 2 youngest and watching dora. Kristie is planning to come down for a bit to order cookies and hang out with us but other then that today is about being lazy. I have 48 hours off work and today I am doing nothing but hang out with my kids.

For supper Tia has invited our family to come eat at their place. I am so stinking excited no cooking and no working. Life is good! Yesterday I took the 4 kids bowling as we had no school here. I had Samantha bring her cookie orders up there and she sold 40 boxes to my boss and some friends at work. I will bring it Wed when I bowl yet and Thur as Men's Legue asked me to bring it with me so I am hopeful I can get her goal met sooner rather then later and I wil not be the proud owner of 30 boxes of cookies to get there.

The sharpie marker is fading fast on Mini so she is only a spoted black legged girl now. I new fashion I am told! So I am off to watch my girl watch dora. Have a great day everyone!

It is good she is cute

Because if she was not I would have to give her away. It has been a long long morning here. As this is not the first time she colored herself today. No this is the second and really the first time is not so bad as hey that was crayola washable marker. I threw her in the shower with me and it was gone.

No somehow she found a black sharpie marker while I was upstairs. And colored not only herself but Dennis' mat and my chair. Thank God for magic eraser as the floor is clean now as is my chair. And Dennis is none the wiser till he reads the blog. As for her I went on line and I will try a few things they suggest. Or she will be colored for a few days.

Girl Scouts

So it is that time of year again and the girl scout cookies order form as been given to the girls. So if any of you would like some cookies let us know as Samantha has set a goal of 200 boxes again! Adn since her friend Lyndsey is a girl scout this year Tia will not be ordering hers from us this year!

I will scan in the order form so you can see what cookies we have this year as we have some new ones once again!

Stephen and Samantha

I signed the older 2 up for a bowling kids legue. They start Sat but Stephen will have to pre bowl this fre as he is at boy scouts Sat morning. Tia will bring Samantha to her first day bowling as I can not be 2 places at once. They bowl till the end of April. And on religion weekends they will prebowl then to as that too is Sat mornings. No boring weekends here.

Boy Scouts

So tuesday night Stephen turned in his derby car. We race Sat morning. I know he is excited about the race as the boys always have a good time. I am sure to take pictures for the blog. He wanted a yellow car that looked like bumblebee from transformers and Dennis did a great job on painting it to look just like it. I will get a good picture of the car on Sat as they turn it in Tues and it is kept after official weigh in till the race.

An end in sight

Yep things are slowly starting to settle into a nice pattern. I have a set schedule now though and I am hoping that helps us have a nice schedule here at home to. I have off tues, wed and Sundays now. Which works well for us and since I do not work till late Sat I can spenmd the day with the kids still.

So there is an end in sight to the madness in our house. As we all settle in I am hopeful we ok I can get the house back in order. And start the potty training I have put off as long as I can. The diapers are getting gone so the time is fast approaching that potty training will start and I am sure she is ready.

Now this is a work out

Yea he is nuts and he did push ups with not 1 but 2 kids on his back. So he added just shy of 60 to his back and did them. Dennis and the older kids do push ups and sit ups at night. It is good for everyone. And painful for me to watch! (don't ask how my work outs are going)

coming home is sweet

Coming home at night I never know what I will find in my bed. So i always get to go in there to see what I get for the night. Sometime they are on the floor sometimes on top of each other and sometimes all over the bed. But it seems Daddy is a push over when it comes to babies in my bed. They never know they get put back to their beds when i get home!

Sick girls

yep it seems to happen each year but right after Christmas Mini got a fever. The next to be exact. Thought nothing of it but Wed Thur and Fri night no sleep for Dennis or I as she was up crying. Well Friday nigth while I was at work Maria noticed Mini had pink eye and Samantha was complaining of her ear so after work I made appts for them the next day. And low and behold both had ear infections and by this time Maria and Dennis also had pink eye. So to say it was a yucky weekend here is stating it nicely. So now we deal with the tummy issues that antibiotics bring with them. We even had to take a 24 hour break from them to give both girls tummys a rest but they seem to be tolerating the meds much better now. And I hope we can be on the mend for awhile. COlds are starting to go away now too so maybe the new Year will start looking brighter soon!

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning dawn bright and early as it always does here. And the kids could not wait to dig into the stockings that I am sure had been looked over good and proper before Mom and Dad rolled out of bed! But in there that Santa put reindeer webkinz which had been asked for only 300 times here by the kids. So he did good once more in their book! They also got Lowes gift cards that will go toward the in swingset they will get in spring. Now if the snow would just go away!

Santa did not forget Dennis either. maria and Amari were here for Christmas moring too and Santa even found them at our house! It is a good thing Sanata is so very smart as to know where everyone was that day!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we went to see the family at Mom and Dad's house. We had a lot of fun and spent the evening playing games, cards and opening gifts. The kids played with cousincs and got spoiled in all sorts of ways. More junk food was eaten then in the whole year put together and everyone went home to dream of Santa coming the next morning. Of course Santa had to come home and wrap gifts yet and all that fun stuff before he was ready to come. Talk about not being ready for the big day to come. But he got here and in time for everyone to get some sleep to!

Matthew and his nose

Do not ask. He got this nose from Tim and Sheri and he loves this thing. When you wear it it blniks so I guess Santa will be able to find our house after all! And Mini got a gun just like Matthew's and to say she is pleased is an under statement!

Mini and Amari have a party

Yep a party just for them! A party to celebrate 2 birthdays so close together and only 1 year apart. Family and friends came and we had lots of fun and food and really just a good time all the way around. Mini took a nap so we waited to open gifts for her then she got up we opened gifts and had cake so Amari could go down for his nap! But we got it all done and the kids had fun. Mini got a Dora backpack that turns into a chair how cool can she get?

And she got to blow out her candles and then blew out poor Amari's candle too! Silly girl! And then was happy to sit and eat frosting. No cake mind you as frosting is always better then the cake itself.

Mini turned 2

On the evening of the 13th we had friends over for dinner to say Happy Birthday to Mini. Yes we let her eat everyone of the roses off her cake. And she loved blowing out the candles. She loves opening gifts this year and she oh so loves to make a mess. She loves to say Thank you Mommy and I miss you Mommy. Even if I only went pee all by myself. She loves to be all cute and cuddly and sassy all at the same time.

My 2 goof balls

yes Mini is under there somewhere. She hides and cuddles into the blankets. And as for Matthew I have no clue what he was doing but to say he was not as hungry as he said he was comes to mind. As after I got him his hotdog he wanted to suck the flavor out but eating it was not high on his list of things to do. It could have something to do with that we walked around and ate samples first. Bad call on my part if I expect him to eat his hot dog afterward.

The start of bowling

Yes the Zimmerman Bowl is finally done and we got to start back up again. My team Spare change has a new memeber this year. We are doing really well with no help from me. And last week we were in 1st place. After my bad bowling we will see what place we are in now I know we lost 2 points last week so we will see.

The first nigth was rough at home. As Tia and I both had calls more then once. So we took turns talking to kids who were not impressed that we were not there.

And considering I had been up there all week and the week before training I am not sure my kids just did not miss me so they called because they could. I have been waitressing up there and loving it a lot. But to say I am busy is an understatement. Hence being so very far behind on the blog. I have been working 4 and 5 nights a week and even 4 days is 40 hours so it has been a big adjustment. Mind yo my kids are sleeping most of the time I am gone but I still miss those hours.

I just agreed to lead the waitresses on the bowling half so I am training the new employees and once that is done I can slow down again. Until then we have to go with it and get through. Dennis has been really good about it and knows this means a lot to me. So I am gone a lot at night if you want to talk you best try during the day.

The last of the shirts

Well then I made each of the teachers the towel there to. I had a lot fo fun making all the shirts for everyone and I know they will get wore. Some are still sitting here at my house waiting to see people but winter can only last so long I figure. I have one more deer head to make for Denis as it just so happens to be a 10 point buck so he remembers the one that got away! I am sure he still loves me!

Happy New Year

Yes yes I have so very much to update on but I am very busy right now and I was going to update yesterday but the server broke so internet went down for most of the day and then I got called to go take of some things at work. Which is a whole another post that I have not got to yet.

So for now I hope this year brings healthy happiness and lots of Joy to everyone and if I happen to wint he lottery in here I will not complain I promise!

I will get to updating some today but it may take me all week to get all the posts done. As I bowl tonight and I work thur fri sat and sun this week. So I will have to squeeze in the updates.
